Could I buy 2010 to 2013 xenon headlight housings and the ballast and bulbs and be able to plug it in? It's a lot of money in non-returnable used parts, but I really need it because the headlights are terrible, so what do you guys think plug and play? Has anyone done it?
again planning to purchase the new housing, the square ballast controller and the blub

I looked into this awhile back. I can't recall the current market prices for used headlights but one option you may want to look into is retro-fitting another HID projector in there. I'm on my phone so I can see where you're located but there are a few damn good shops that specialize in this sort of thing. A good place to start would be The Retrofit Source's website.
If you're handy, it's not too hard. I just wouldn't want to mess up a Lexus headlight. But I believe when it's all said and done, it'll be cheaper than getting a set of used/new OEM headlights, ballasts, bulbs, motor and all the other little things.

Unless you know you're going to keep the 2010 a long time, it's going to be a lot more cost efficient to just suffer with the old lights until you get another vehicle ![Wink](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Have you tried upgrading bulbs to PIAA or something else? Would be a very cheap alternative.

I ran PIAA in my MDX for lows and fogs. I ran them full time day and night and had to replace a bulb every 4-6 months. They looked and performed much better than the yellowish stock and I never found a better alternative. I ordered them from Tirerack.com, only 3 customer ratings and not good
Not the same bulb in my MDX (9006 with 2 high ratings). We are talking 5 total ratings so take it for what it is worth.
