just had my fluid drained and refilled, but the mec just did a measure of fluid out (1,9L) and added 2 bottles (2L)
how precise should the fluid in and out be? would 0.1 L difference be a cause for concern?

Did mechanic drain out hot fluid and pour in garage temp fluid or had vehicle been sitting & cooled down?

The fluid drained was at least warm, probably 15 minutes after I drove there.
I touch the oil just to smell it and look at it.
If anything is overfilled by a small amount.

It will probably be fine but we can only guess.
IMO: Drain and refill with same amount can be an ok method but I think one needs to do at least one by the books to ensure factory level is accurate.

Maybe I missed seeing the post, but what are the part numbers for the crush washers?
Thanks for the info in this thread, I'm going to tackle a multi-drain and fill this week now that I've hit 70k miles and will be doing some towing.

I had my transmission fluid changed when it was at the dealer for the fuel pump recall, also had them do the front and rear diff fluid as well as the transfer case. Couldn't help it, they had a 25% off parts and service COVID discount.
Paid around $550. Really can't complain at that price, not bad at all 😁

Surprised they flushed your tranny... they also added an addiditive, do you request this specifically?
also doesn't look like they did a level check unless they reused some gaskets, a no no.

I don't know, i expected/hoped a Lexus dealer to have good technicians. Lol
Btw, after the fuel pump replacement my fuel level gauge is not functioning properly, i did 200+ miles and the needle didn't even go down past the 1st quarter, luckily i noticed it and refueled in time. I've set an appointment to have them fix it, I'm assuming it's the level sending unit getting stuck on something?
If this happened in Japan I'm sure the technician would do Harikiri on himself 😂

So you can read about it.... https://www.bgprod.com/services/transmission/
I only see 1 gasket in the transmission service line item.

What is your opinion on this?
This is my first automatic GX so i don't know much about them. When i was overseas i had an 06 Landcruiser Prado, diesel 3 liter, 4 cylinder and a 5 speed manual transmission.

I have no personal experience with any of the BG services... but it is on your work order so it appears from the paperwork they did a lot more than merely a drain and fill as you requested.

Your transmission does not need anything other than WS, certainly not at your mileage.
