Thats where the metal clips are located for anchoring. They are actually pretty solid, holds the shield very tight

I don't like such a fastener system. it is not reliable and these retainers fly off

Any idea if the hood protector is still available anywhere? I have a 17 GX460 and I've tried almost every site suggested on this thread.

if you can't find any for GX460 i would try for Prado on some European sites or eBay

Time flies! I've had mine on for about the same time, it's still solid as well.

Did you order this for me or was that just the Kaon table (which is still solid and comes in handy)?

@msgs350 Yeah.. I ordered two of the hood deflectors from Germany. One was for you. Time has flown.. I think it was late ‘18 or really early ‘19. ..in addition to the Kaon table.

KAON brand was basically unknown to most in US in those days.

Long time reader...
So what is the overall consensus on where to get the hood deflector?
I have 2023 gx460 and as far as I researched:
1. PZ451-J8530ZA is unavailable
2. OMAC is unavailable
3. EGR is unavailable
4. WeatherTech is not producing hood deflectors for gx460
5. The only option is random deflectors on ebay/etsy but I kind of would prefer the original one

Any pointers to order in the US?

Any idea if the hood bug deflector / protector available anywhere. I have a 2011 GX460 and I've tried every site suggested on this thread also searched Toyota Prado on eBay-Europe and amazon and Etsy can't find one.
Can anyone assist? Willing to get good condition used one.
