Lightbulb Front Seat panel removal - back of seat

Aftermarket install of DVD headrest and they didn't put the seatback on correctly on one of them. I don't want to pull the good one off and risk breaking the clips. I bought it used with these already installed so taking it back where they installed is not an option. Seatback stays but pops open fairly often.

Call the shop and tell them to do it right. This shouldn't be your problem at all!

As I stated before, I cannot take it back. I bought it used with these already installed. So taking it to the I know installer is not an option. The seat back holds most of the time but every now and then it pops off. Lexus dealer wanted $300 ha!

Oh shoot, I see. I don't know, maybe just man up to the $300 sounds like it could get very painful. Maybe see if a Toyota dealer will do it for cheaper?

I took the seatback off and one of the clips was broken. They had poorly hot glued it back together because they obviously broke it when taking the back off to install the headrest TVs. I peeled off all the old glue and re-glued it back. All good now.
Thanks.

Lightbulb Seat panel removal

I have a pair of 10.1 inch monitors installed in my new 2016 GX w/prem...i'm looking to hide the wires behind the seats, does anyone have any ideas on the process of back panel removal?

Still debating on where to run power, either internal or external fuse box.

Where are you getting the current power supply from?

I just installed the monitors a couple of days ago which both run off of cig-lighter cable, i'm debating on either running it to internal or external fuse box once I make up my mind if i'm going to keep them.

OH WOW thanks for that!! So basically to remove from clips its like bend/pull motion to get the panel to release from the clip?

Hooks on the bottom, obviously lift up the panel to release
This is where the broken clip was seated (on both sides).
Broken clip on the black rail where it hooks on. It seems to grab pretty well.

tecman did you just opened up your seat (and broke your own clips along the way) just to answer a question? You are awesome!!
