GX460 Remote Engine Start (RES & RES+)
#226
I've always been overly **** about overusing my starter (stupid, probably) so when I bought my car with the remote starter, I took it off the keychain and have never used it. I'll go outside and start it myself when it's -25 degrees F.

Another vote for 12V Solutions. I had an issue programming it due to the factory-installed system but, a quick call to their support and they walked me through it. I had the same system on a 2017 4Runner and was pleased with it. You can usually find a sale code. Add the Carlink app later.

Dear all,
To install RES module, do we need techstream software downloaded in our laptops and interface to connect to the port?
I have to install Crawl and MTS so thought to combine RES also.
Could you guide me regarding the techstream
I would prefer factory RES than the aftermarket RES.

You do need to use Techstream to program it.

2010-2015 and free for first 3 years of 2019+ according to this - https://www.lexus.com/enform/#remote
The big question is what Lexus plans to offer for '16-'18 owners as even short range AFAIK relies on this subcription.

I'd recommend reaching out to Lexus and ask about the up to 3 year statement on the website.

I am not personally aware of any '16+ OEM remote start working on a 460 without a subscription
