I've always been overly **** about overusing my starter (stupid, probably) so when I bought my car with the remote starter, I took it off the keychain and have never used it. I'll go outside and start it myself when it's -25 degrees F.

Another vote for 12V Solutions. I had an issue programming it due to the factory-installed system but, a quick call to their support and they walked me through it. I had the same system on a 2017 4Runner and was pleased with it. You can usually find a sale code. Add the Carlink app later.
Dear all,
To install RES module, do we need techstream software downloaded in our laptops and interface to connect to the port?
I have to install Crawl and MTS so thought to combine RES also.
Could you guide me regarding the techstream
I would prefer factory RES than the aftermarket RES.
The big question is what Lexus plans to offer for '16-'18 owners as even short range AFAIK relies on this subcription.
My 2021 is only included for the first year. I cant find anywhere online where it says If I can use the factory remote to remote start once the enform subscription is up. I read online where if the subscription expires it disables the remote start completely
That does appear to be the case without subscription
the description says up to 3 years on the link and screenshot. I read somewhere that said it was possible for certain newer models to be able to start it without enform subscription but was not confirmed. Here is my lexus subscription. Only 1 year trial
