Default 2011 GX460 Shop/Repair Manual DVD Player Help

Hello All,

I just purchased a 2011 GX460 Premium and I was wondering if anyone here has access to the shop/repair manual.

(Sorry guys the owners manual will not help.)

I need the wiring schematic for the Navigation head unit.

I'm trying the hack the DVD player to play in the front screen while the car is moving.

I need to find the VSS (Speed sensor).

I found the parking brake wire with my voltmeter and the continuity test setting. It was and an easy process; I just sent the voltmeter to continuity + sound and listened to the chime as I when through the wire and I had the parking brake engaged. Once I heard something I released the brake and confirmed the sound stopped and I had the right wire.

So all I need now is the VSS and I will have my DVD playing while driving.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

A bypass module won't work for you?

It would but I would rather cut the wire it seems like a waste of money just to bypass one wire. I'm not worried about voiding the warranty.

Well for the DVD bypass it is simple but the navigation requires the gps wire but still simple. Once you know which wire is which you add a simple toggle switch to complete the circuit.

So, after some research I found a decent picture of the beat sonic wire harness but I cant see everything. From what I can see the harness uses 2 wires, a green wire and white wire to get the DVD to work while moving. I think one of the wires is a pass through for the Navi harness.

Does anyone have good pictures of the beat sonic NT4618 harness. I need to see where the green and white wires feed into the plug that plugs into the back of the Nav unit.

This is what I have found out. The brake has to grounded or engaged and the VSS has to be cut for the DVD to work while moving. I'm close I can feel it. The Nav would just need the GPS wire cut/and add a switch. I suspect the unit has 2 VSS wire going into it.
