MIL is on. P106b and c1201 DTC codes. Need your help.
Check engine light is on on my 2010 GX460 with 4lo blinks and ani skid light is on.
I have a Carista , so I read the fault codes: p106b and c1201.
I came to a local Lexus dealer today and to my surprise they told me that Air injection control valve and Air injection pump have to be replaced. $Estimate is $2450.
I am really questioning the dealer honesty and diagnostics conclusion.
Can someone one point me to the p106b code details? I googled the code and couldn't find it for our exact model, but what I found points to a MAP sensor. where is the MAP sensor located?
P106B LEXUS - Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor - Secondary Air Injection Pressure Sensor Correlation

Based on What I've read on this forum I would expect P2440 for a faulty air pump.

Found an answer for the GX 460. Here is a list of sensors for your truck and I don't see it.

Hm, I understand that MAP is optional and is almost secondary to MAF, but still would expect to see it on our GX460.
Still I have to find out what p106b error code means for our truck.
btw, I reset couple times obd errors this week and MIL was back next morning or once car was turned off for more then an hour.
My Lexus dealer also reset errors this morning and check engnine light didn't come back yet. Let's see what happens tomorrow.
Tecman, thanks for your reply.

P106B is a pressure sensor coorellation that the ecm does between the Secondary Air Injection System Pressure Sensors (at atmospheric when the system is not running) and the EVAP at atmosphere. If one of the sensors reads something like 4-6kPa different than the other two sensors it will throw this code. We normally see it when the pressure sensor has been ever so slightly damaged by the exhaust that is leaking through the air switching valve(s). We have a kit add on to our bypass kits called a pressure sensor replacement that can take care of the P106B code without having to replace the damaged air switching valve. Almost always it is going to be the valve that has been throwing or is stuck with a valve stuck open code but the only way to verify is to read all three pressure sensor values and compare them.
