the GX without the luxury package is reliable by any of the definition you mentioned above. it doesn't have AHC or air suspension. It is more reliable than LX because almost each single subsystem it has is simpler than the LX assuming both platforms have the same overbuild quality.

I'd call my GX460 uber reliable and I specifically bought a 2010 base model with the 2nd/3rd row HVAC and no air suspension. The only thing I see as a specific knock on that is the coolant valley plate gasket leak on 2010 though early 2014 models. Radiators fail with every brand because plastic + hot and cold coolant cycles weakens it.
