I purchased the Philips bulbs and installed them but found them to be too blue for my taste. They are also expensive. I ended up buying the amazon equivalent kit for $15 and found them to be brighter and whiter. That’s just my take. Save the $100+ using all Philips bulbs. If you’re still set on using the Philips bulbs, I’ve got enough for the entire GX sitting in my toolbox.

Thanks for the input. I haven't ordered yet so I am glad I asked you guys before I did. Can you tell me how long you've had those bulbs installed? I'm slightly concerned with durability. Can you also comment about the vanity bulb size?

I didn't change the vanity. I figure I don't want to get blasted by a bright LED in the face

these are the ones I have https://amzn.to/2Nb86pE , had them installed since March 18' and no issues. I am pretty happy with them, especially for the price
I have the phiips ones https://amzn.to/2HfsSAG for my rock lights. they are a little pricier but very bright. definitely a hint of blue as others have mentioned

My VLEDs (interior/exterior) have been installed since June 2017. Not a failure yet.

I purchased the same bulbs they are amazing for $15. I did have to purchase a $8 build puller. Had some great advice here but couldn’t get the map lights done without it.

anyone suggest the running board lights???

I did the LED upgrade to overhead lights with the amazon ones (see below). But they didn't work in the doors though (wouldn't light up at all)? Anyone have any luck on the doors...and this was a very needed mod, huge difference!

Default Make sure they’re in the correct way.

They can be put in backward.

Winner, winner. Thanks, I didn't realize they would go in a specific direction. I unplugged the lights when I changed out the bulbs and this time left them connect to see if they worked. Thanks!

Hopefully he will figure out how easy it is to remove the window pillar cover to hide that wire
