SAIP - Service Campaign (JLG) '10-'13 / Update: No mileage or year restrictions

I tried the bypass kit (plug and play type from EBAY--don't recall the brand) after I was getting the code and it would NOT keep the code from returning. I think the consenses from a Toyota forumn is it will protect and keep the system off if you install it before you have a problem. However, if you install after a failure, it won't help.

Sorry to hear NCGX. I just ordered the UNI filter in hopes to avoid this. 2010 GX460 with 85K miles.
I do wonder if those living in areas with more inclement weather have a higher chance of this happening. Haven't taken a poll but would be interesting to see if this issue is appearing more frequently in certain parts of the country than others.

Just to give you an updates. After i cleaned the secondary airpump place it back. First thing in the morning i start the car then the pump was working as it used to be. Noticed that the fuse wasn't blown. I'm just hoping the valves aren't stucked. I guess to reason of all of this is the touchless car wash causes the secondary air pump to get wet then made the filter get wet. Now i learned my leason. Hope and pray. The code won't come back.

midwest - Paul at Hewitt Technology has a full write up on the codes that the module will and will not work on. You can call him to discuss (number on his site hewitt-tech.com). If its one of his and it didn't work - we would all like to know about it...
Its important to clear all the error codes with an OBD2 scanner before installing.

Another current thread discussing a similar error - https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...on-pump-2.html
I am curious if anyone has used the Hewitt Technology SAIS bypass kit discussed in the above thread...

Just reset the codes and rerun for faults. Its says no faults using OBD2 carista but it says not ready for emission. Will it convert to ready for emission Overtime?

I bought the Hewitt-Tech but didn't install it because I found a plug-n-play version that didn't require cutting any wires. Hewitt took it back no questions asked.

Received my UNI filter the other day and decided to knock out the install tonight. With everyone's great contributions here I was able to install it in about 15 minutes. Not that we need more pics, but here they are anyways...

Thought I had the answer by reading a couple of posts on here but now I'm stumped. This is on a '12 GX460. Went to take it yesterday morning and had a Check Engine idiot light ON, 4LO idiot light FLASHING and TRAC OFF on the display.
I have four error codes: P2440, P2442, P2440 P and P2442 P.
After going through the forum, thought "Well we've sucked in the air pump filter and blew the air pump fuse. Great!"
I told my wife the good news is I could probably fix it myself but the bad news is it still would cost about $450.
Just went out to verify my assumption and my filter is still intact in the air pump and my fuse still looks good.
???
Could someone give me any other suggestions of what may be the issue?
Thank you.

It's possible the gaskets have been sucked into the valves. That's the less common but still possible issue with the secondary air system.
