Got mine done yesterday, they just put a new housing with a larger filter inside and top it with an ABS housing to cover the whole thing.

They didn't replace the air valves?

Default Recall advice

I have misplaced the Cap and foam and I need to take my gx into the dealership. Should I leave on the uni filter or take it in without a filter, cap, or foam ?

You should be fine with the uni filter on. Taking it in for this or something else? Either way it doesn’t seem to be a problem.

Wife just started the car and it had all the symptoms of the pump failures indicated in the recall notice. Just worried they will not honor the recall due to uni filter mod..

A few have already reported going in with UNI and it reportedly wasn't an issue.

Thank u so much Acrad. I appreciate all your info and knowledge. Do u recommend reinstalling the uni filter? Purchased this car a few years ago for the wife and did the "uni mod" first thing. Makes me wonder why the pumps failed.

What do you have on there now? IMO: I'd either take it back in stock or put the uni back on there.

Both scenarios haven't resulted in any denials to warranty claim.

Foam removed and uni filter on the exterior of the stock housing. That's it. Rest of the vehicle is stock other than added USB in console. Like I said it's the lil lady's ride.

Made appointment for Monday. Thank you for relieving my anxiety about being denied factory recall. Hope this fixes this issue from here on out.

Hello,
Having same issues with 08 GX470...called Lexus and said my vin has no extended warranties or recalls. Does this letter only apply to certain vehicles?
Thanks
