I've had my lift on my GX for about 3,000 miles now. Around 1,000 miles ago the front end started squeaking. I could visibly see the sway bar bushings looked stressed from the lift. I already had the DR.KDSS sway bar angle correction brackets sitting around so I decided to knock this one out in the garage on the floor with just a hydraulic jack to keep the KDSS hydraulic from pushing down. The hardest part of the whole thing was just cutting off the tabs on the sway bar end clamps. The sway bar bushing looks so much happier now and properly aligned. If you are lifted I highly recommend installing these before your bushings are shot unless you already have high miles.

Installed WeatherTech side window visors on all four doors yesterday, even though it was sunny but only 50 degrees or so, left the car out in the sunshine for a few hours hoping everything would warm up enough to allow everything to settle in. When I pulled it into the garage about 4pm yesterday, still had a window open alert on the dash, and again earlier today. Just seems to be the drivers door window that doesn't want to behave, hopefully I won't get a lot of wind noise on my 6 hr trip I've got planned for tomorrow. Maybe a good bump in the road will force the window/visor to play nicer with each other. LOL

I had zero luck with that so went with the adhesive ones. After 28 months of ownership and untold number of car washes, they are still fine. The Weathertech ones kept activating the anti-guillotine mechanism and I did not want to damage the window, the tint or the motor.

This is my 3rd or 4th set of WT's on various vehicles. I didn't get any wind noise from the DS window while on the interstate, so that was good. I was able to get rid of the "alert", but then when I put the window back up after a trip thru a drive thru, I got the alert. I just have to keep bumping the window up and it will seat properly, but warmer weather should resolve the issue in the spring, or just time, whichever occurs first.

Not an expert but I don't see how you could damage the motor due to the visors being installed. Possible yes, probable no. I don't care for the stick on's, overall appearance is a huge downside from my viewpoint.

Am not sure either but, after my experiences with my F150’s sunroof and cheap plastic parts on the moonroof track, I didn’t want to risk it.

I've had WT visors on my last 3 vehicles as well, last one was for 10 years on my Taco. Got the GX 2 months ago and they were one of the first things I ordered for it. Waited until temps got up to a high of low 30's, have to work with what Mother Nature gives you up here LOL. Although I did use a heat gun on the channels keeping it moving to warm them up first. Was nervous with the cold but took my time and made sure they seated correctly. Had been a long time since I'd done a set so went slow. Took 3 times on the passenger side rear but got it to where the window would roll smoothly with no resistance or hesitation.

Have held up well so far even in teens below zero so pretty sure I got them in for good. Hope yours seat and settle in sooner than later.

I had bought the WT ones as I like the look. Was living in Charleston SC at the time and it was probably about 70 when I went to put mine on. The rears went in just fine but the fronts caused the safety mechanism to engage. I didn’t try to use a heat gun but didn’t think of it either. The precision that Lexus makes the cars to make me less than likely to want to force anything. Not wanting to screw up my tint was also a factor in sending them back. A thinner material would be ideal.

Hey AZMTB,
I apologize for the delayed response. Westcott has been awesome to work with. Their quality and workmanship is top notch. They built their first left hinge spare tire carrier for me as well. DM me if you want specifics on specs and cost.

Matt
