Put the 4R CarTrimHome TRD skid plate on to replace the factory skid plate that gets in the way during oil changes. I rattle canned the letters to match the blue overland symbol as well. I think it turned out pretty well. I also greased the spiders and slide yokes while I was underneath.

Any modifications required?
I only had to do two mods. 1.) The installation requires you to remove the rad supports in order to accommodate the skid plate. The skid plate then bolts from the frame to the rad frame providing the support. This step is detailed in the instructions provided. 2.) I removed the small plastic air dams attached to the front bumper. They just twist off and I am pretty surethey don't do much. They were getting in the way.

a lot of it depends on the vehicle. the bolts can snap off in the welded nut.
on mine those small y like arms where there were some nuts I had to take them out and reweld them. if its a no rust like new vehicle then its 2 minutes sure. but if they are all rusted together then it can be a lot more than 2 minutes.

For myself, the factory skid plate was a bit of an eye sore. Do I plan on refurbishing it and keeping it around for a backup, yes. My issue is that I don't have tall enough jack stands to get the angle on the factory skid plate in order to remove it and dislodge the hooks on the frame. With the factory skid plate hanging off the frame during an oil change it is quite a chore to reach around the plate to reach the oil filter. The TRD skid plate, or replicas, come completely off with four bolts making acces to the whole undercarriage relatively easy and provide lots of access to other areas of the engine bay. Are there better versions out there, sure. Could I have purchased taller jack stands for the same price, sure. But I get the recognizable TRD symbol on my GX, and all it really needs to do is push snow in the winter. So for some the TRD or Cartrimhome replica serves a purchase. To each their own.

Either place cribbing under your jack stands or get ramps, easy peasy.
Had the 80k oil change and tire rotation with new cabin and air filters. Really sent it in to get the PCS error diagnosed. We’ve had this error ever since I put the updated grille and lights on over 2 years ago. The tech was not the master tech who used to handle my now departed updated 2013. This tech recommends replacing the grille and then the logo after I told him that it was not OEM. That last bit added another 800 to the service estimate. The calibration was estimated at 5.5 hours — crazy. I figured that the car never had the error before the new emblem so I ordered a radar friendly OEM emblem & just had the oil / tires done.
The theory is that the new emblem will fix the error. It arrived yesterday and I’ll put it on this week. Looks the same, just not as thick.
The dealer gave me a 2023 Luxury as a loaner. Very nice, far nicer than the Nori Green one I test drove that had the non-leather interior. What I do not get is why they put in the pale headliners. Those are destined to be stain magnets. My LS460 F-Sport has the black suede type material for the headliner, love that one.
Pulled it out for it's monthly drive, washed it, parked it back in the garage until next month's drive. After driving the CRV for 3 months, the GX feels like a tank and very antiquated infotainment without wireless carplay.
