I used these, but they all look the same:

I like the way they look and for $5 I don't know how you could go wrong.

Kazter - started a new thread on this. I was originally only looking for the Nav bypass but stumbled upon this kit which does the smartphone mirroring and includes the Nav bypass module as well so it was kind of a nice "icing on the cake" feature.

Got these today and left them out in the sun to charge for a few hours. The kids like them lol 😂.
They are about 1/4" thick.

Default Paint Protection Film

Went with full hood/front fenders/bumper/mirrors/and headlights. First few pics are of the install and the last pic is the finished product. Looks so much "glossier" now and extremely difficult to even see that it is on until you get up really close. Will post another update once it's been on for a few weeks and absorbed a few rock chips so you guys can see how the "self-healing" aspect holds up.

Next up: Beat Sonic IF-04EP Smartphone mirroring kit.

You can kind see where they needed to cut in for the complex angles on the GX.
Mirror protection.
Finished install.

Hey SigEp - Thanks for the post. How did you source someone to install the film or did you do it yourself? Did you find instructions online? Thanks for your advice.

Hey Ruby - I actually just used Google for "paint protection film" and started researching. There are a couple different brands each with their own pros/cons. I had no interest trying to do the install myself because the film is pretty expensive and there are so many sharp curves on the GX. I chose SunTek due to the 10yr transferable warranty (peeling/fading/cracking); had better reviews on the self-healing properties; and it maintains that nice freshly waxed shine. You might find that one of the other brands is more appealing to you. Just make sure that the shop you use is a certified installer of the film that you choose; I called SunTek directly and verified my installer before the appointment. Good Luck!

Yakima Skybox 16 Carbonite arrived. I went with the 16 as I was afraid the 18 would give me a problem trying to lift it onto the roof by myself. Its about 47 lbs and Im sure I will get used to putting it on but I am glad I went with the 16 vs the 18. There are pictures of the 18 on a GX around if you google it.

Nice! The Skybox 16 looks small on the truck. I have the 18 and haven't put it on the GX to test but it looks good on the Odyssey. I need to put it on and take a picture.

On the way to So. Cal I stopped by Ningge Ni and picked up his Tonneau cover. I also spent a few minutes drolling over his built GX460. You should have seen it. I think it looks better in person .
The tonneau looks good and I can put stuffs in the back now with a little less worry.

swapped out the old bridgestone duelers. Lasted this long! 3 years and still quiet on highway! Lasted well beyond what i expected, but only 23K on odometer.
They were starting to squeal and wear so i just replaced them with michelin defender LTX tires with good deal.
The tread is so freaking deep! Probably the best tire out there for now for the GX

Yep, just did the same thing. You're right about the tread depth, more than any other tire I know of.

Rides great, very quiet. Seems like the perfect tire.

wow the michelin defenders ride very harsh.
I am sad to say these dont seem to be that much better than the bridgestone duelers which were super quiet on highway!
I am sure they handle the rain and snow better. Time will tell. I have to take them back to shop because the wheels are vibrating
a little at 70. My passenger seat shakes quite a bit on highway. Anyone else with an empty shaking passenger seat on highway?

T4Fun, can you check what PSI was set at?

how excessive was the vibration? Sorry to hear this with the new tires as they are really well reviewed by most.

Yeah, what PSI? I believe the LTX ride way better than the Duelers. I hope you get it squared away!
