Definitely pretty handy! I did the same process, when I had Discount Tire mount a winter tires on my loose wheels ( they were really busy for install, like a month away). However, they put the wrong TPMS on it and it didn't registered. So I ended up setting an appointment anyways, at least it was after my trip. They ordered the OEM TPMS and they programmed it themselves, so I never had a chance to try it then.

I'm just glad that I don't have to a get it reprogram every time I switch sets.

Did you add that front camera or is it a factory option?

The dealership does sell some expensive coffee... Could have bought everything needed to maintain the vehicle for the next 40,000 miles for that price...

I purchased mine CPO and added an extra 3 years to it so I am covered until 2025 or something ridiculous. unfortunately the caveat to the warranty is maintenance records. otherwise I would be performing all of it on my own. I did all of the work on my 4th gen 4Runner up to 150,000 miles

The warranty specifically calls out for dealer maintenance? I was hoping with the extended Lexus warranties, receipts for parts or oils would have been enough?

I used the CD player in the GX for a while last night in the garage and the CD started skipping and then stopped. Truck wouldn't start so I left it alone until this morning. I have heard that when the battery drains to let it sit. Sure enough it barely cranked up this morning and I drove around the neighborhood. It reminded me that I need to pull out my portable jump starter and charge it.

Yikes! The Lithium-ion battery expanded. I powered it up and it is at 8% charge and no way I am putting it on a charger. Seen to many videos and heard story's of how dangerous this battery is and that is usually about cell phone batteries. This is much larger so again, Yikes! I didn't want it in the house so it is now in my driveway. Ordered a new one that has more power and is discounted with a code provided. Compared other models and seems good for the money.

For a couple of months, my remote range suddenly decreased and sometimes I had to put the wallet key next to the door in order to open it. Before that I could have it in my backpack and it would work fine. The regular FOB range also decreased that I had to be within 10ft or so to get it to work. I replaced both remote batteries and it didn't help. Meanwhile the car was starting up fine, hence a little slower with the starting button but nothing alarming so I didn't really pay attention to it.

While in Shelter at home, the battery died after 2 weeks of not driving. I replaced with a new one and now all the remotes are back to their normal range and I can actually unlock and lock from inside the house and the remote start range also increased.

So if your ranges suddenly decreases, it could be the main battery. I just bought a trickle charger and I'll use it time to time to refreshen it up if it hasn't been used in more than a few days.

Added some ccf to improve the sound dampening in the front door small triangle panels (forgot this area during earlier sound dampening efforts on all interior panels) and in between the inner and outer door weatherproof channel to add more compression when the door is shut (to prevent some minor, but annoying, wind noise).
A couple members have talked about bending the door panel so the gaskets would meet more securely however I couldn't get myself to do that and this seems to work well. After a highway test drive in really windy conditions I can longer hear the faint wind noise in my left ear.
