Battery has been getting weak over the past month or so. Decided to go with a Northstar AGM group 35 battery.

I've never used a AGM in automobile before but I can say I am still running AGMs as old as 2007-2008 timeframe that are still working great in ATVs and snowmobiles. I do keep on trickle chargers when not in use but some don't see use for months at a time.

I had an Optima yellow top in my 4Runner, preformed flawlessly for 5+ years. Seeing the bad reviews with the current Optima production steered me to the Northstar.

Added custom photo to the Start-up screen. See the attached video.

Here are the instructions of how to do add photo to the Start-up screen.

Pre-work:
(1) Find the photos that you like and save them in 1280x480 resolution. I downloaded a few photos and used Adobe Lightroom to convert them in to 1280x480 resolution.
(2) Create a new folder and name the folder as "Image" in a USB thumb drive. Then, save the 1280x480 photos into the "Image" folder. Yes, you need to name the folder exactly as "Image" with the capital "i".
Load images to your GX460:
(1) Plug the USB thumb drive into the USB slot, then start-up your GX460 and click "Setup" on the infotainment system

(2) Select "General"

(3) Select "Customize Images"

(4) Select "Copy from USB". The image files that you saved in the USB drive will be displayed. Just select the files and click copy.

(5) Once you have copied the images over to the infotainment system, now you want to select "Set Images"

(6) Here is my example of what you will see. Pick the image you want.

Thanks for the reminder about the startup images. Used paint.net to manipulate the images/logos and added these two to mine. I really likes the 2020 pose.
ETA: images should be 1200x675

Not the greatest photos due to it being nighttime but just installed the chrome exhaust tip and some LEDs in the door panels and dome lights. Didn't order enough for the running boards so will be placing that order tonight.

Looking good CaptRog21. Chrome tip was the first thing I added to the truck. Hate seeing that galvanized pipe. LOL

@cploy tint looks great. Love that color combo. It was one of the top 3 I was looking for when shopping for our GX.

Default Small $10 Items Make a Difference - Bolts & Clips

I've had my 2010 GX460 Premium for a month now. I've been base-lining with new fluids, new tires, etc..., but wanted to share two cheap things I'd recommend for the next time you're working on your rig.

1. Replace all the plastic/nylon rivets in your engine compartment. Most of mine were broken and pretty crappy. Honestly the "popper tool" is one of the best I've used due to a thin "lip" to get under the pin. 100 pieces + high quality "popper" tool for $10 on Amazon -
Amazon Amazon

2. Replace all (8) M8-1.25 x 20mm skid-plate bolts with Stainless Steel bolts. Torque to 21 ft/lb. Mine were starting to show a bit of rust. While Stainless Steel is not recommended for high-strength applications (i.e. - Hitch, recovery points), they'll work great for skid plate bolts. 20 pieces for $10 on Amazon -
Amazon Amazon

Just a few small things that are easy to change out next time you're under your rig.

Added an aftermarket tow hitch (CURT 13043) on my 2019 Luxury Trim with SPORT package. The interesting part is really how to handle the extra-long Sport bumper skirt. I simply add some spacers in between the hitch and mounting holes on the bumper. Here are the before and after photos.

Installed freshly powder coated wheels along with 265/70/18 Wildpeaks. Love how it turned out.
