Replaced the wipers with another set of the Lexus-branded wipers. I was surprised how well they held up since the GX sits outside 24/7. They were almost 3 years old and were just starting to streak a bit. Figured if they held up that well, might as well get another set.
These were the full replacements, not just the blade-style replacement.

Wash with dish soap to remove the old wax and grease, clay bar, and synthetic wax. 5 hours of work but she is looking clean.

I am no professional detailer but I would skip that dish soap. its not real good for the clear coat. a real good car soap,. clay bar with quick detailer, polish and a good wax/sealant will do the job. throw a little quick detailer on the windows too while you are at it. keeps them clean longer and helps with rain

I hear you about the dish soap although a lot of videos recommend using it for when you're going to strip old wax off. Dawn particularly. I don't think it affects the clear coat. Or at least I've never heard of that being the case. I only use the dish soap when I'm removing wax otherwise I use Meguiar's car wash / wax.

The old A8L sun visor fits well. 😂
Maybe I'll put a sticker over the rings.

Yes, it works well. Plus it protects the dash from harmful UV.
