just for the convenience of integration with Escort Readline 360c radar detector. More so, it’s more an experimental project, just to learn more on those, don’t expecting my GX is going to do any street racing or flying down the highway anytime soon

@Philly01

I got them installed last weekend. The brackets are sturdy and don’t shake at “highway” speeds. I don’t have the rago to compare to, maybe they used different steel but I’d go with the Cali raised ditch brackets again. I’ll try to report back when it’s salt and rust season.

The lights are meh.. I missed the diode dynamics Labor Day sale and will get them as my next set. I’ll run these lights Until I get bored with them.

Fit and finish on the lights aren’t great. I had a quality control issue on one light with a rattle inside. They are however sending me a new light. Their customer service response time isn’t the best. However their support is good.

Shipping times aren’t instant like amazon. I waited about 8 days to receive my initial order and it’ll be about the same for my replacement light.

regarding the in cabin switches. CH4x4 was the only company that had white backlit small Toyota switches. Shipment was quick but their switches don’t fit properly into our GX blanks. It’s a false fit where it looks like it’ll work but the switch bezel is too large. You’ll need to shave it down and add some felt tape around it. My issue was that you couldn’t press the switch down enough for it to click on or off. It worked only as a momentary press and hold.

Don’t expect any after support from ch4x4 though. I emailed them over the weekend and they have yet to respond back to me.

Others said rago has switches that work but they are blue backlit that don’t match the interior white lights.

let me know if you have any other questions

edit:
going through the firewall... I was a bit worried about this and stared at it for a long time. Throw caution to the wind and just take a screw driver and poke a hole to the upper right area of the hood release. I enlarged it using a wider drill bit. The nice thing about this is that the rubber firewall will still be a tight fit around the new wiring. Use long zip ties to help feed your new wires

I finally took the 25 minutes it takes to install the Multi-Terrain Select. I now have Crawl Control and Multi-Terrain Select for about $500 and 45 minutes of work.
