I had some time to install the WeatherTech window visors. Easy install and looks good. The wind noise is a bit louder especially if you get caught in cross wind but Not bad at all. When you crack the window a bit, it doesn't have that helicopter sound effect.
They are pretty tight in the channels and you have to roll the windows up slowly otherwise they will roll back down. I used the included tool to press it against the weatherseal
but not much help. Hope it looses up over time.
Sunny weekend in the NW so I decided to spend some time using "Black Edge" wax. Great for light paint swirl and awesome shine. We will see how long it lasts.
Looks great!! I have some bad news... I think our rain comes back on Thursday :-(

After installing the deflector, the driver's side keep rolling down and is very tight. I could see it actually hit the edge of the deflector and push it out when it rolls up. I removed the deflector and found the edge was cracked.
Ouch... I was concerned about the tightness in window tracks. Are you gonna try a reinstall or....?

I have them and have no issues. Could have gotten caught in an odd spot in your window resulting in the crack. I would call WeatherTech and see what they could do.

I reinstalled it but it didn't go up as smooth as the first time so I removed it. The passenger side seems a bit smoother while the driver side is always tight from the get-go.

I contacted WT and they are sending a replacement. Does yours auto roll down when you're holding the up button even after get it all the way up in small increments?
bbqsoup: WT seems to have good support......please keep us posted if replacement works better. I picked up some of those plate covers as well but still in transit. That hitch will be more than you need for the uses you describe. Still capable of doing some towing too if you needed further down the road.
I got them from ebay. Took about 2 weeks to arrive from china.
This was the original i bought but they are out of stock

Put the rear brake pad replacements on. I just went OEM. Caliper pins were still lubed but I replaced with some new Sil-Glyde. Rears were easy too but you reuse the wear indicator from old pads. Even the OEM didn't come with new ones. I am sure these can be purchased as a separate part but I never let my pads get that low to matter. Be sure to have a small breaker bar handy as well. I needed it to get the caliper bolts loose. Torque specs are 65 ft/lbs for the pins as per FSM. Then hauled a trailer load of wet firewood to my parents house to split with hydraulic log splitter. This was probably a 3K pound haul. Hard to tell it was even back there.
