I must be on borrowed time too regarding battery. My GX is still on original battery after 5y/72K miles. So far no issues.

just checked double checked and found the install date written on the back of the battery, 9/14/16.

on the front it says 84 month warranty, so its well under that, my issue now is how do i get them to replace it as whenever i test it, its good (12.6-12.9v). but will die quickly in acc.

could my dashcam be doing this? its hooked up the mirror harness.

speaking of batteries, here comes this champ with another helpful video!

Default i guess its not just surface rust :'(

@nuclearn8 yea this tire has waay more tread than whats on the others.

didnt end up making the trip to lowes to buy fluid film, but i had some white lithium spray grease.

trying to unscrew the mechanism took some force, but it came loose.

sprayed the chain (and got some on the wheel). also that wheel has no curbing on it, as opposed to the others which are all curbed up...HOW do you mange to curb these wheels? theres soo much cushioning from the tires.

One of the back up bulb was out so I replaced both with LEDs. Wow! The rear camera is better now that there's more light. I replaced all lights with LEDs except these and I don't know why I waited so long lol.

I went ahead and replaced all other cars backup bulbs with LEDs as well.

I have 1 backup bulb out as well. I guess this is next on my list. Can you share what bulbs you used?

I got these. I like that there's no polarity so you can plug in any way and it will work.

was there an indication in the dash to let you know a bulb was out?

On my 2010, I didn't see any indicator. A friend told me when I was backing out from his shop.

My OEM GX battery is 32 month old and is showing the exact same behavior as you are having - having the car in ACC mode for more than 5 or 10 min kills the battery. Problem is that I've installed Lsailt Android unit and I'm seeing this only since then ( probably I because I didn't put it in ACC mode before fof longer than couple minutes). If I take to dealer I don't want them to blame the unit (if they somehow find it). Did you happen to get it checked at dealer? A conductance test or load test done? I've not done anything, so not sure where to start.

Most auto parts stores will test batteries for free. Start there.

Next step is to use an ammeter to measure draw... or pull the fuse for the Lsailt and see if it continues...

Thanks, yeah I'll take to AdvancdAuto to get it checked. Pulling out the fuse is likely not possible given that Lsailt sits in middle of the OEM screen. Because if I pull out lsailt fuse, I guess OEM screen may go out too (which is likely the only power hog in acc mode when AC is off).

ive taken it to an auto store to have the battery tested both times it died, and it came back as "good".
12.9v the first time and 12.7v the next.
