thanks for sharing that. how's the noise back there with the plate? I emailed goose gear a few weeks back and asked what material it was, the response was, "The Base Plate is made from industrial grade 12mm Baltic birch and is 100% coated with professionally sprayed on bed liner material."
I'm tempted to remove my 3rd row seats

If noise is of any concern then I'd recommend putting some dynamat or any other decent sound proofing material.
That actually gives me a good idea, maybe I should get some dynamat and a meter to do a before and after test 😁, I mean it won't hurt anything to add some extra sound proofing.
As for the plate itself, i wish it was just specified on the website what material it's made of.
I know it's my fault i didn't do the research (unlike you did) but any normal person would assume that for $500+ it would be made from some type of polycarbonate or some kind of plastic durable material, not wood sprayed in bed liner! And it's not 100% coated, only the top side and edges are covered in bed liner, can't see why the couldn't spray the back side as well for $500+ ??
If i could do it all over again knowing what i know now, i would just make my own plate and I'd make it better, probably 3/4" plywood and then glue on some nice rubber mat 😎
Anyways, what's done is done. In the end I'm happy i can finally start building my custom drawers.

new 27f battery! the day after the winter storm up north, i come out to a dead battery 🙄
heres to four more years...though i need to call the dealer and verify the warranty, because i "installed it myself".
also, be careful when installing the bigger 27f, in my haste to install the battery and get back to work, i almost crushed my radiator hose.
ive made an error. my main reason for going with the 27f was to get more cca. the 27f from the dealer (161 taxes&core) only has 710, meanwhile the costcos 24f (122 taxes&core) has 800....hindsight 20/20, hopefully this helps/saves someone some $$
