Installed the add on for auto folding mirrors when locking the car, was an easy 15min job, just remove the steering wheel column and add the device with the Y splitter and you are done.
I know this is a gimmick, but our ML have that feature and I felt like adding it.

Next up is BeatSonic Apple Car Play, will be done when I have more time

Used this one;

I really try not to use the folding mirror feature that often. It runs on plastic gearing so if the mirrors are moving each time the doors are locked and unlocked, it's only a matter of time before the plastic gearing fails in my opinion... I hope not for your sake.... let us know in a year or two how it's performing.

It uses your OEM key, no changes.

I understand that there might concerns of the longevity/life of the moving parts. On our 2014 ML, that has the same feature. it has not failed yet. I believe that Toyota have higher quality components compared to MB. Also the LX has this feature and I haven't seen a massive issue with the motor/gears.

Additionally, I've lived/worked 2 years in Japan and parking is very narrow so more or less all cars have this feature and is used all the time, even the small Key cars.

But I'll definitely update, if I remember, or get any issues later

My wife's 6-year old Kia Sedona has that feature built-in and it has not failed yet. I think the weight of the mirror isn't heavy enough to put that much wear on the plastic gears, at least not the way they're constructed. I've torn one of the sideview mirrors apart and saw the helical gears are pretty sturdy... and this is a Kia. It's also pretty well-greased. If anything, I would think the weather (from cold to hot and vice versa) would put more wear on any plastic parts than the turning of these gears every time you lock/unlock.

Now, why would I take apart a perfectly-good, barely-used Milwaukee tire inflator?

@Thed351W appears your making a built in tire compressor for the jack or subwoofer area in the cargo area. have seen a bunch of 4runner guys do this, works like a charm with a long enough fill hose to reach each tire.

Exactly what I'm doing. Except I just want the panel, I plan on using a bigger compressor.

Got Lexi inspected at the local Toyota dealer so can complete Virginia registration… while there I saw this in the showroom and couldn’t believe it.

Oh the things you could buy for $40k instead of a Corolla Cross...

That is absolutely retarted, the dumbasses who pay for this mark-up are the reason all these Stealership have the chutzpah to charge "Adjusted Market Value" to suckets who don't shop around. I had to go outside of my local area to get my Lex due to them marking up an already high-priced SUV, just to take advantage of a few thousand dollars and ruin their long-term reputation.

Haven't even taken delivery yet, I'm waiting on the tires to show up at the dealer.

Meanwhile, MIke at Exit Offroad has already shipped my lift kit that I ordered last night.

General maintenance Saturday:

engine oil and filter change, MAF sensor and throttle body clean and secondary air pump uni filter mod (thanks to the info in the maintenance sticky and also video from GX460 Bob).

I also topped up the coolant, with 1/2qt. This is my first addition of coolant since January 2021 when I was paranoid about coolant valley leak. I wasn’t able to see any tell take signs of leaking from under the truck, but I’ll keep monitoring the coolant level on the regular. Would losing 1/2qt over 9 months be of concern?

just need to replace the wiper blades and give the truck a good wash.

Took time today to install the Beatsonic Apple Car Play, if you have normal DIY skills, then this is fairly easy and straight forward.
Total time use was less tan 2 hours, the hardest was to get the head unit back in place as the new wire harness take up more room behind the unit.
