I live a bit farther North from you, we get lots of snow and ice, I prefer studded snow tires. For the GX I bought Nokian Hakkapeliitta 10 studded, 265/60R18.

1974Boler: IMO.. that is an ultimate winter tire setup and brand. If I was solidly in winter conditions I would have the same setup. My main use is going from basically sea level over mountain pass in winter to my cabin which generally has snow from early November through April.

Philly01:
I only became a believer in winter tires about 5 or 6 years ago... I had never experienced near dry pavement braking distances on ice and snow before and was sold.

I have Blizzaks on my other vehicles but have been happy with the Michelin X-Ice Xi2 tires on the GX. They seem like a good compromise for my mixed use in the winter.

The Xi3 may be better now but might try Nokian Hakkapeliitta next go around without studs.

Default FN Pro Wheels

Ordered a set of 5 FN Pro wheels in bronze for my yet to be delivered Nori Green GX. Picked them up today. Something therapeutic about having a Christmas beer and ceramic coating new wheels

These are my second set from FN (first set were on my 4R) and I can't give Dustin enough praise for his customer service. These are 17x8 with a 0 offset. They only weigh 24.8 lbs and soon to be wrapped in Cooper AT3 4S 265/70/17.

Center caps are blanks, but you can get these decals from Importequipment that are specific for FN Pro wheels:
https://importequipment.com/products...a9a5f6e0&_ss=r in many different

If anyone is interested the wheels can be found here: https://www.fnwheels.com/store/produ...wheels-fx-pro/

Nothing too exciting done to my GX 460 today... I just decided to take advantage of the beautiful weather and give her a good wash. The rain we had last time really had her looking dirty. I found a new hairline scratch bringing the total to... 3! Oh, well. I plan on keeping this forever so I'm sure there will be many more to come. If it becomes unbearable for my OCD, I'll wrap it in matte silver to put an end to that. I also conditioned all the leatherette bits. All the surfaces are soft, smooth and clean once again.

Got a 2022 and still cant get it installed by the dealer due to the stop-sale.. I think there is a lip on the bumper that will be removed and the hitch would mount right up against the number.

Put the adhesive vent shades on a week or two ago and they are perfect. I believe the key to these is making sure the door frame is clean before they’re installed. I had tried the other ones that go inside the window track but could not get those to work with the window safety feature.

Waiting on my 2021 update to arrive. It’ll change back into a Lexus when that is done.

Rago Fabrication Molle Panels

Installed these today. Had these on my 4R and really appreciated them. I can still easily see over my shoulder out the passenger window.

Only negative was no instructions and their install video is for a 470 which is different. Fortunately, found a decent video on a 460 and was enough to figure it out.

Nice. I like Rago's stuff and have quite a few of their pieces. Their shipping times and customer service are great. I only chose the Victory molles because they are a bit larger.

Installed a dash cam, using the power supply adapter to the rear view mirror as per GX460Bob;
Not having to route a cable all over the cabin, or have a cable dangling to the 12v socket is a big win.
The dash cam I got was on sale at Costco for $99, good deal given that it’s 4K video quality, and has decent video stabilization. It’s a Type S 4K dash cam.

Cut up the steps in anticipation of the sliders coming in. Also wired up and mounted some LED penny lights to replace the now-discarded OEM puddle lights.

Cool Dog Tail Gate Lock.

When the weather gets warmer again this will help my dog in the back. Not as good as the 4R window... but good enough

Amazon has these and I learned of it via an FJ owner. Pretty great idea.
