I ended up getting the gas tank skid in steel.... powder coated black. It weights 71 lbs according to the Fedex shipping and is supposed to get to me next Tuesday.

I'm still being told they can't confirm fitment for the GX460. I'm trying to decide if I should just tell them to ship as is since its Aluminum it won't be hard to modify some minor fitment issues or to just get a refund. My factory skid is after all still hanging on

Well that's promising! Maybe I'll wait for you install it before I decide if I am going to have the parts shipped out. I hope the 1/4" aluminum holds up as good as the OEM skid. Powder coating is smart to start off with as I believe it provides more protection initially than rustoleum, unfortunately after about 8 months, my sliders are showing quiet a bit of rust (all from rock chips, not actually sliding over anything), so just keep in mind you will need to keep that gas skid touched up to prevent rust from taking over.
Thanks! Good tip on the touch up. I did powder coating on my aluminum ATV skids as well and has held up surprisingly well.
Aluminum won't corrode like steel so the powder coat will hold on way better than steel. Even hard anodizing with Teflon coating would be pretty slick (pun intended). I'll have to find out if my anodizer can fit the skids in his tank before I do any coatings.
I don't mind doing a little paint maintenance on them when needed. I might consider aluminum on the other skids I may need to drop for maintenance. I figured this tank skid is going on for long term so didn't spring for aluminum.
Actually.. it will be next Tuesday... Budbuilt did as I had originally requested to delay shipment until after 5/1. I thought they had sent them out early... I've been out of town this week.

I believe the bent down piece on the front is what the transfer case skid connects to. Seems well built. I notice on box it also said for Gen 4 4R V8 which makes sense since they have the same transfer case.
Confirmed fit of the Budbuilt gas tank skid. That forward piece on the skid even offers some protection for the transfer case actuator and backside of transfer case if you were backing up and hit something.
I used two floor jacks and installed myself. I was able to raise plate right up to the body with this method.

JW's GX on GXOR has a C4. Here a pics of extra mount points for bumper aside from frame horns as well as the versatile fog light mount they have. I plan to do a relocate on my washer motor.
Ordered up the rest of my Budbuilt skids today. This is includes a replacement front, a mid covering transmission and the rear for transfer case. There is also an additional crossmember that I think goes between the transmission and transfer case skids to offer up additional support.

Let me know if he is going to send them! He's 6 months into his BS with telling me he will have someone come in for a test fit (entire skid set ordered on 12/7/17). I finally got a hold of him after he wouldn't return my calls or emails and said if he doesn't want to send them he needs to refund me, I'll follow up with him Monday and see if he has this figured out yet. Not to fond of dealing with budbuilt yet, hopefully he actually sends something out that I will be impressed with.
