Correct, just a light (doesn't impact performance). We just purchased a 2015 five days ago and I thought, "how do I get out of Eco mode?" But a quick search of the owner's manual confirmed the post listed above.
It's strange that there are SO many differences between my 2015 GS350 and the wife's new 2015 GX. Things like the Eco mode (you can turn it on/off in the GS and it DOES impact throttle response), no specific tire pressure readout, no "triple blink" for lane changes, no power folding mirrors when parked/locked, etc.
But let me also say, we love the GX. She just took it on a 120 miles road trip and raved about how silky smooth and quiet it was.

Hey but she has better rear seat A/C controls, illuminated running boards and the
front and rear suspensions are connected hydraulically (KDSS-Kinetic Dynamic Suspension).
Wait til she shows you the sunglass holder that has a convex mirror to see both rows of seats!
Don't you wish you had a full size full duty spare? What, you don't have a 110 volt A/C plug?
Gotta love the differences!

His post was from 4/5/17. This is an older thread that has been added to.

No graveyard posts if there is additional information to add to it. Better than a new thread and starting over with the the conversation while many things have already been covered.

The passive ECO light lets the manufacturer conduct the CAFE/EPA mpg test cycle in such
a way that it results in better ratings. In vehicles like the GX and LX they need all the help
they can get! If you fuel with 100% gasoline (not Ethanol) and obey the light and don't drive
into the wind....down hill... you may get the published numbers.
