Whenever I put my car in drive, I get a clicking sound as the energy transfers to the wheels. When I accelerate I get a few clicks and then the noise is gone until the car sits again. When the steering wheel is at full turn, either left or right, I get a vibration feeling, but as soon as the wheel is not fully turned or close to being fully turned, the vibration goes away. Could there possibly be something wrong with the axles on the car? Anyone else have a similar issue?

Not sure.. I haven't noticed any of those noises on mine.

Clicking noises can be CV-Joints. How many miles on your '16?

Probably want to pay the dealer a visit and maybe ride along with mechanic if you think there is any chance they will be deaf to issue....no pun intended...

 

CV joints or the transfer case comes into my mind. Inspect the rubber boots on the axles and check if they are torn or leaking grease. If there are obvious signs that the CV joints are gone then I would replace the axles. If one of them is gone the other will also probably go soon so you might want to replace both sides.

 

I just hit 17,000 miles so I wasn't thinking it could be the CV joints... guess I will be going to the dealership. So no one else gets vibration in the steering wheel at low speeds when at full turn?

 

Not me. The only clicking I hear is when the ABS does a self-check moving forward at 5 mph. One click and done. Get the GX to a dealer and have a Sr. Service Tech take it for a spin while they are in the driver's seat so they can hear it. That is the only way to get it noticed IMO.

 

Center diff locked? Probably not, or it would really let you know when turning. But worth asking.

 

No, not locked, wish it were an easy fix like that.
