Shocks and Struts

I'm guessing yours doesn't have the electronic ride control?
On my previous GX470, around 100k miles is when I replaced mine and it did make a big difference. It was like it just slammed really hard on certain parts of the road.
It wasn't obvious with the like oil leaking down the sides of the shocks/struts either. I could just tell something was off.
You may just want to replace the rear as they are easier and cheaper to do and see if that makes things better.
Those sound like good prices for factory shocks and struts.

I have been thinking of replacing my front struts.
2013 GX460 with 98k miles. My front right has developed a chirp sound at times. I was looking at the lexuspartsnow.com site last week and noticed they had three different struts listed for my vehicle. The prices varied $273, $186, and $127. Does anyone know the difference in the three options?
I have the rear air suspension and it occasionally has the dreaded lean. I haven't decided if I want to replace the rear bags with springs. Overall the ride seams fairly smooth, but the chirp noises from the front can get annoying.

How often does chirp happen? If not some pad/rotor issue it is always possible a wheel bearing is going bad.

Usually during soft cornering, never hear it when I hit a bump. It just seemed like suspension related, but a bearing could definitely be the culprit. That's the main reason I haven't ordered anything yet, not sure where the noise is coming from. It's not that bad, my wife probably hasn't even heard it yet. Anyone have ideas how I might be able to narrow it down?

sclaiborne: I noticed my ride was quite a bit harsher when running wheels at 36 psi versus 32. Might be something to look at as well.

Just bought a 2012 with 97k Miles with complete service history at the Lexus dealer. Coming from the GX470 the ride is very rough and I don't see any leak on the shocks what am I missing here ? But I see the tow hook system with significant scratches meaning the truck has been used in towing. Being the base package rear shocks are only 120$ oem shipped. What do you guys suggest.

The 460 rides rougher than the 470 does, even new with fresh shocks. So I don't think anything you do on that front is going to change that dynamic. Smaller rims with more tire sidewall would be one solution but not cheap.
I think it's a mistake for Lexus to try and make everything "sporty" but they clearly tightened things up across the board, almost every vehicle now is trying to have a BMW ride.

Wonder if there are softer 3rd party springs available? Not the direction if you planned to tow but as a passenger only vehicle might be an option.
