Shocks and Struts

I know his might sound a little weird but I didn't buy my GX new either. I'd probably go test drive a similar model to see if what I am feeling is "how they all are". My other cars are very stiffly sprung so my GX actually feels like an '80s Cadillac in comparison.

Ok I went underneath to check it out and guess what the both fronts are leaking and rear ones are fine but I notice some oil on this part I donno what and where the oil is coming from. Any ideas ?

That highlighted part is your rear KDSS disconnect. That residue on it could be from the shock leak as well.
KDSS has potential to leak and all 460s have this.

You think that could be the reason for the bad ride quality ? The front shocks are leaking and this kdss is in the back so it's definitely leaking. Do I need to fix it or can I live without it I searched for the part and its very expensive 800$ and I donno how much would be to install it or there's a way around it since I won't be doing any off roading. Is there any Tsb out for this problem.

On the KDSS failure apparently would be ----> "The most common symptoms of KDSS failure is a severely uneven ride height side to side and/or a flashing KDSS light. The vehicle will also sway more than normal during a turn. Fluid leaks from the cylinder aren’t uncommon as well."

Does it feel like the suspension is bottoming out on the front? IIRC...there are various valves in shocks that address different types of damping conditions from light vibration to severe impacts. Maybe enough fluid loss these are affected.
••EDIT: If you do replace front shocks FSM says nuts on top are torqued to 47 ft-lb and bottom bolt is at 70 ft-lb

I think your KDSS is probably fine at this point even if that rear cylinder has some minor leakage. Do you think it is bottoming out in the rear? I don't really have anything to compare to for harshness on a GX level. I've never driven a 470 or another 460 for that matter.

I would gladly do that if we lived in same area. I've only been to TX once via a layover flight to Miami. :-)

Base package shocks/struts updated part number
I'm in the process of ordering the parts for all 4 corners and want to know the updated part numbers as the ones on the truck right now are not available at the dealer.
Model is 2012 if that helps. Thanks
