Default Not another oil forum... but has anyone tried Liqui Moly on their GX?

Hey everyone,

didnt mean to start another oil forum but I wanted to see if anyone had tried "liqui moly" on their GX.

I recently had an oil change on a cayenne turbo (annual) and the shop recently transitioned to Liqui Moly (from the people that pay Porsche to put their sticker under the hood). I have had it for over a week and the difference in noise and idle is noticeable quieter and smoother. Keep in mind it has been a year since I changed the oil so any change would be noticeable change from one year old oil but last year I definitely don't remember that big of a difference from when I drove it off from service.

that being said... has anyone tried on a GX460?

i tried royal purple on my old gx470 and found it to be a waste of money... when I went back to the high mileage valvolene it idled smoother so I am somewhat skeptical since it wasn't that "special". In any case I wanted to throw it out there to see if there are some real road tests.

I have been using mobil1 full synthetic for years and change it with oem filter after every 5k miles and never had any engine problems, it was very famous on Bmw forums so gave it a shot. Didn't make any difference imho just ended up paying lil extra for it. I usually buy my own parts/oil and let my mechanic friend put it on. I don't trust any local shop. I have heard many many stories.

I've thought about using the high moly Mazda oil I use in my CX-5.
