Yeah... 080 won't work...it's the model that looks like this. Everything I read on Prado forums indicated that MTS won't go live until Crawl is active. You can change settings but they won't work. That being said if you plug 020/040 in now you will see MTS menu options. Probably no harm in installing it before you get your 070 switch though.

Interested next winter... since melt is solidly on for me now.. on what MTS Sand/Mud mode offers in the snow off and on road. This mode can be run in 4H. You have to engage below 7 MPH IIRC. Gonna play with crawl and MTS some more this weekend around my cabin.

I am really curious if the Prado threads weren't entirely accurate and that MTS might work without the crawl switch. I find noticeably less accelerator sensitivity with MTS set on Mud & Sand in 4H.
If anyone has the module but doesn't have 070 yet it might be a good test to confirm whether MTS could be a standalone option in itself.

I'm quietly following this thread. Kudos to acrad and others for all your tinkering works. I'm kinda debating whether or not i should do this mod. I don't really go off-road so the need for crawl control and MTS is kinda low.

Personally if I didn't dabble with some off-roading I wouldn't likely install these mods. It's up in the air whether long term the cost of the parts would give one any return on resale.
It might be a compelling feature for some on what model they buy on the new or used market. I've heard more than one say "I'd like to have crawl but I didn't want to spend the money on a Luxury" or buy that model since it has the suspension upgrades and they were going to remove those pieces anyway.

Just my opinion...

Acrad, your work on this mod has inspired me to join the fun! lol
I have 2018 GX Luxury w/o driver assist package. Correct me if i'm wrong, so the consensus on if i want crawl control and MTS, then these 2 parts are what I need, correct? xxx70 is still hard to find?

I don't think anyone with 18' GX here has done mod yet, I don't mind being the first and shared my experience.

EDIT: I plan to start updating the first post of this thread with quick links to relevant pieces of this project so everyone doesn't have to wade through the closely approaching 30 pages. I realize the poll now takes up a large chunk at the top. I didn't realize that was going to carry over to every page.
Correct on part numbers and availability. We may know within the next 1-2 weeks on a firm 040 install that shows MTS live on a '14+
It sounds like a few are going to try out just putting in the MTS module to see if that can be a standalone option.
Your current console switch on your Luxury will go from this
to this

They seem to be on quite a backorder.
I think best bet at this point is to get on the waiting lists at DiscountPartsMonster or oemvehicleparts (these two seem to be the cheapest). Since Carmarka still has part online I've initiated a purchase for one this morning. I'll let you know if they come back with it being on backorder. If purchase goes through I'll sell it to another member here (assuming forum rules allow this) on a number lottery. I think back in January with shipping the Carmarka price was around $250/shipped but I think others that tried ordering said there was a 45 day backlog.
