From I gather of other posts online about MTS---->

• MTS is an adjustment of ATRAC

• On one end of the scale "Mud and Sand" allows the maximum wheel slip ratio before braking

• On the other end "Rock" allows the minimum wheel slip ratio before braking

I wonder if "Rock" is even more aggressive than standard ATRAC on models without MTS?

Strong chance MTS can be a standalone option. One of the requirements of using MTS is that CRAWL is not enabled.

In reality, MTS and Crawl are very similar in terms of function with one major difference, that is Crawl is a fully automatic driving mode and you just control the steering. With MTS, you will still have to "drive" the car. So, the ATRAC should have the functions already, both Crawl Switch and Drive Support Switch ECU are only made user accessible to those function, IMHO.

I can confirm MTS works without the crawl control switch. I installed the Driver Support ECU version 020 yesterday and took it to an area near my home that has a small area with mud/sand from a river. I activated MTS and immediately noticed a difference in throttle/braking. I haven't played with the other options (Mogul, Rock, etc) that require 4LO just yet.

I am super excited to try this out at the OHV park near my house- Lots of sand and deep mud to play in.

Installed 859A1-60040 and I now have MTS in addition to Crawl Control. Took the GX out for a drive and can confirm that the throttle mapping is different when selecting the different terrain settings.

2014-17 owners that added the -40 module for MTS.... Did you also “unlock” the dynamic lines on the rear view camera when in reverse?

I already have the dynamic guidelines for the rear camera before adding the 40 module. So it did not make a difference. Upgrading to the 40 module also did not add the Trajectory line to the front camera for me. Can someone else please confirm also?

I placed order for the xxx70 switch with carmarka and xxx40 module with discountpartsmonster. Carmarka said that it would be 45 days wait just like Acrad mentioned. Hopefully the xxx40 module will come much before than so i can play around with it. How many of you have successfully received your xxx70 switch?

You have the GX with Driver Support Package to begin with, right? Which model year of GX do you have? After replacing 040, did you have the chance to re-initialize the camera section according to FSM, which is performed entirely through touch screen in service mode? based on what I am reading, the camera initialization has the selection for w/MTS or wo/MTS, this maybe the part to turn the trajectory line on for the front view.

For '14 GX, the reverse camera view with dynamic guide line (the yellow part of line that turns with steering wheel) only comes with Driver Support Package, if US spec GX all uses 031 regardless with or without Driver Support Package, then where is the dynamic guide line come from? It has to be associated with Park Assist ECU, but that one does not have different versions for various options......

I did not get the trajectory lines on the front camera either when I installed the 40 module.

Also interesting to see on others when they installed the 20 module in the menu it lists “Cam Position”. I don’t have that option listed in mine.
