You are correct. I re-calibrate it and it is showing up now. What happened was that when the lights were flashing, I did not hit continue or something similar and just turned off the car. I made sure to click on continue or finish when the lights on the dash were flashing and it is all good now.

I have both CC and MTS working on my 2016 Base GX 460 (updated the poll as well). I bought both of the needed components from OEM Vehicle Parts and I did not have to wait very long. Thanks everyone who contributed, especially Acrad!

I will admit, I read the calibration guide and watched Coinball's calibration video but I did not realize he added an update on to the description of the YouTube video that would have saved me a lot of time. Therefore, I continued to run into the same issue he had with the VSC light until I ended up going back through the thread and found the discussion around the issue.

Admins, is it worth explicitly pointing out this step in the CC calibration area on the FAQ at the beginning of the thread? I'm sure it will continue to happen.

The excerpt from Coinball.
To get the VSC light to go away (in lieu of making another video), you need to press the Crawl Control on/off button BEFORE clicking the final Exit button in the ABS test. You'll get the warning the CC isn't available unless you're in P or D and 4L (on the cluster display), and you'll be good to go from there.

Is it possible to remove the unused upper buttons/switches on a base model and attach the cover pieces from the original unit? I'd hate to have those fake buttons there (though I could certainly live with it for the benefit of getting CC/MTS).

I absolutely want crawl control. I have a waiver to drive on the sand here if necessary. Won't until I have CC to dig me out of the mess.

Acrad, What if I only install the CC switch and do the resetting for it, Do you think that the CC will work w/o the other part.

There is no need to reprogram the key fob.

CC and MTS are two separate function and components. Either one is not related to other. You can always install one at time. The MTS install (replace the ECU) is straight forward without any reseting and calibration needed, just a simple plug and play. CC will involve the reset and calibration process.

Just ordered the MTS module for my 2014 GX! The dash removal looks a little intimidating but thats mainly due to my lack of experience.

Just take your time... you will be fine. Those remote start install instructions from the first post FAQ are helpful too.

Agreed. And having one of those plastic trim removal sets definitely helps distribute the pressure as you are getting used to pulling clips. Just slide it into the crack between the two parts you are separating, and do a twisting and upward motion so that you can confirm where it's clipped in. Then just pull at that clip with a bit of force and it'll come out.

Default 2014 Lexus GX460 Base

Thanks for all the information. I have a question I don’t really care for crawl control at the moment just want MTS for now what is the part number for the ecu that supports the mts and in the future to add the crawl control. My truck is a 2014 gx460 base with just the DAC switch and 4h - 4L
