Hello All!

New to the forum, Just got my 2013 GX 460 Premium last month and ordered the module and switches from OEMVehicleParts last week, but it would appear they have not shipped or processed the order, how long does it normally take?

TomCruiser: Are you actuating the crawl ON/OFf switch at end of zero point before turning vehicle off?

i use that same TS cable from eBay. Works well. Win OS version shouldn’t matter...64 bit support just lets in run on newer gear

However, for CC cal, I follow the step and turn of the engine, the connect pin4 & pin12, once I push the CC switch, there was no CC light and no info of +/- in the display when I toggled +/- switch. I just curious if I do need to turn the engine to IG for SST wire approach? If not, why at end of the CC cal step k(turn of engine, again for SST if it was already turn off at 1st step in section b).
Anyway, once I remove pin4/pin8 and turn on the engine, I can see the CC light. When I push the CC button & +/- switch. I can see info in the display but slip off is flashing(in 4lo). So I think the CC part/cable is connected correctly but no CC cal. However, in normal 4hi, slip off light is on and 4lo is flashing. I can't turn them off even after re-do zero pt cal. I'm afraid if I missing some steps, or can anyone share the CC using SST?

BTW, anyone using min VCI type of techstream from ebay to do the zero pt cal & CC cal? Does 32/64-bits os matters?

Thanks!
Seems that one of the steps didn't complete. You can always go through this process again starting from beginning. I have used Techstream, there is a member here used SST wire and had no problem to complete the process. As far as the VCI cable and software, as Acrad said, both 32/64 are supported. The only trick part is the MiniVCI driver for windows, I have not had success for finding the 64bit drier, nor I was able to installed 32 bit driver running in 32 bit emulating mode. I ended up using an old window xp notebook for the techstream.

Not sure how readily vendors are stocking these now but if anyone is looking to do Crawl Control and/or MTS on their 460 ...Matt @ OEMVehicleparts says he has 6 or 7 of each coming in tomorrow. He does offer up a discount code for 50% off shipping ---> Code: CLUBLEXUS

After I finished zero pt, I turn off the engine and connect pin4 & pin12, then start the CC on/off switch but there was no light comes on.

I bought it from OEMVehucleparts with 50% off of shipping. Would you think the part has issue? It looks new, unused.

TomCruiser:
Not likely defective since it is overall pretty simple from an electronics standpoint inside.

Here are few that have done paper clip method:

If you're located in SoCal (south bay area) I'd be willing to help out. I don't have tech stream, but I was able to do the zero point with the paperclip method (though I just used two wires).

After trying the process about 6 times. i I tried the dac turn on then off at the end of the process before finishing. This was done in the test mode. This completed it for me. If anyone is having problems, try that Dac On then Off at the very last step. Not sure if this is what finally finished it for me or not, but it worked after 6 tries, that was the only thing different i did to make this work.

Yes turning CC on/off at the last step before exiting is working for many people including me.

EDIT: I will move it up to the top.

Good to hear you got it working.

A while back I added this quote from Coinball to bottom of first FAQ post.

I’m interested in adding my own switches for crawl control instead of buying a new switch console. Anyone willing to donate their old non-CC switch console to me for experimentation?

Has anyone already done this as a hack instead of a swap of switch consoles?

I haven't heard of anyone yet but see no reason you couldn't do it with toggle switches.
