Documentation does seem to indicate that is the case. Mine does allow one to go MTS then Crawl... but if Crawl is already turned on I can't activate MTS. Need to hook up Techstream and see if the live data also confirms this to be the case. I don't usually push mine hard enough to tell.
Here is what Lexus TechDoc has to say about how the MTS ABS functions (as per your request) in the attached pdf. You may post these pdf files on sites that may find them useful.
Thanks on your MTS grid doc! I actually reorganized some of the earlier posts in the thread and posted the ABS MTS from techdoc info a few months back. Noticed back in March.

We then have the 3rd scenario of which no 460's were ever sold stock with "only" MTS but as we all know can be installed by itself. More than likely just follows MTS in that grid but it does add another configuration scenario.

Notice that if you have both installed MTS must be active for A-TRAC to function. Thus it appears that the MTS level selected sets the level of A_TRAC applied during Crawl. This is consistent with my observations and also with the 2020 GX
owner's manual discussion of MTS and Crawl. In the 2020 GX they have 5 levels of MTS and 5 Levels of Crawl. When Crawl is selected the crawl speed is used to determine which MTS level to automatically use. With our installations it appears
that we must set the MTS level first (Crawl Off) and then turn crawl on. At least that's how it appears to work for me.
"The Kakadu also has MTS is Multi-Terrain Select, Toyota’s adaptive terrain system. Modes are Rock and Dirt, Rock, Mogul, Loose Rock and Mud/Sand.
Each of these modes remap the brake traction control, stability control, throttle sensitivity and gearshift points to optimise the vehicle for a specific terrain.
In low range, VSC is disabled by default as is engine traction control and brake traction control unless you select an MTS mode which enables brake traction control but leaves the others active. So if you have a Kakadu, then always select an MTS mode.
If you then long-press the VSC button, brake traction control is deactivated."
Can anyone help with zero point calibration using Techstream?
I installed Crawl Control in my Gx luxury trim and trying to perform the zero point calibration using techstream but I am not able to find Utility / Reset Memory in the GUI I have. Does anyone know what I am missing? I am using techstream v13.00.022
I would suggest shut down every thing, reboot the laptop, connect the OBD2 to the car then start the car. For zero point you can leave it ON without starting.
It should look like this in TS

After doing more research and with the help of another member, I found out that v13 doesn't have these options and I have to downgrade to v12.10.019 in able to get vehicle customization
EDIT: Still no luck getting these buttons with v12.10.019. Anyone know what could be the problem?
I used the two wire + switch method described at the beginning of this thread via a video. Worked perfectly the first try. If all else fails, try it. It's fast and very simple!

Keep trying different versions. I had to try a couple before getting one that worked.

I have used two different versions so far but no luck. I've read in some threads that some Gx460 (especially after 2014) they don't allow vehicle customization. I will try one more version if that didn't work, I will use the switch method instead.
It is just I need techstream to program other things I want to install, such as the remote engine start that I recently purchased.

I got it on my third try, but kept going older and older to test. I'll check when I get home which version I used. I have a '16 Lux.
Edit: I used 12.10.019

Reason: Update
Once we narrow versions down I'll update the FAQs. I think back when I did mine I used 12.x version. I wasn't aware this option for ZPC was removed with 13.x
I don't recollect anyone with a '14+ saying they couldn't do customizations
