welp, guess ill jump on this too. couple of the remarks in regards to snow driving sold me on this. thing that was holding me back was the zero calibration since I do not have the techstream. I will try the wire method. I also will be getting an alignment and lift done soon so maybe the shop can just perform this for me if I can time it correctly

I found that oemvehicleparts was cheapest per part, plus the 50% off shipping: CLUBLEXUS
I have a 2015 base model, ordered these parts
Part Number Part Name Price
859A1-60040 Computer, Driving Su $197.62
84970-60090 Combo Switch $269.68

I don't know if is all in my head or if it is true, but, did anyone notice a slight drop in fuel mileage (during regular driving) after installing MTS?
I keep a log of my fuel mileage and noticed a drop of approx 1-2 MPG after installing the MTS. I could be imaging..

What were you and are now averaging? I'm 17.9 according to the computer after a few hundred miles. This truck gets pretty bad mileage but I knew this going in.

MTS installed. pretty simple thanks to everyone on this thread and their detailed instructions. took me about 40mins. longest part was getting the clips for the airbag.

pretty crazy how this little computer module adds this and it was so simple. I tried out the mud/sand option in 4H and you can clearly feel a difference of how the vehicle behaves when its active. I don't have any terrain near me to test out the other settings, I did engage them to confirm they require the 4L but didn't want to drive on dry pavement.

waiting on the crawl control unit to be delivered. question on the install for this, how quickly do I need to zero calibrate? can I install it in my garage but drive to another location and start the calibration?

You can install the CC (by replacing the switch), then drive to a location where is suitable for Zero calibration. Before you do so, you can drive the GX as before just as without CC installed.

Crawl Control switches arrived. Installed today. did the calibration using the jumper method on page 1.

I don't know why, but I wasn't expecting it to make all of the same noises as DAC when activated. I only activated it for a short time just to confirm it worked.
I will try and get to the mountains this weekend to play with it more.

Yeah... same small arms fire sounds but depending on speed there will be more or less compared to DAC which is about speed range 3 of the 5 of crawl.

Default Adding mts and crawl control later

So if I reading this thread correctly I can add mts now by order a new module to our ‘19 premium without doing zpc, and if I want to add crawl control at a later time I would need a new switch assembly? After replacing the switch assembly I would then have to do the zpc.

After installing the new mts module the terrain selections will magically appear on the dashboard menu using the steering wheel control. And it’s that easy?

Yes!

crawl is the easier of the two to install. Honestly though, Both aren’t that tough to install.

2020 update.

Owner over on IH8MUD purchased the new 2020 switch and attempted a ZPC. It did not work and further tracing showed wiring is absent going to the skid control ECU from the switch harness on DAC model.

Is Crawl/MTS logic there if one runs their own wiring to unterminated connections on skid control ECU? That is still unknown.

I had not noticed this before but also from that MUD 2020 post the 460 in middle east also has a 090 version of crawl switch available for the off-road version they sell there. Considering the existing wiring challenges this really only helps the owner of a North American off-road package owner who is ditching AVS/RAHC. I never looked at interior shots of the Canadian GXOR model but it was a fully loaded model and wonder if they used this switch as a retrofit.

You can also see the switch in use in these sales examples:

2020 update

Reportedly wiring is present from switch to driver's kick panel but missing from there to skid control ECU

•• This is being requested by the 2020 tester. "I'm thinking about finding a fully-wired ECU connector for replacing/testing. Don't know the part number, though. Might be the same as 2019 model, can anyone share a picture from their skid ecu connector of 2014-2019 model? Also, the skid ecu part number?" I'm thinking about finding a fully-wired ECU connector for replacing/testing. Don't know the part number, though. Might be the same as 2019 model, can anyone share a picture from their skid ecu connector of 2014-2019 model? Also, the skid ecu part number? I'm still learning... But I'm guessing the change to the 2020 is due to TSS/Dynamic Cruise Control becoming standard equipment. Do you think there is a difference between the wiring on a 2019 Premium vs the 2019 Luxury with Dynamic Support Package? Does a 2019 Luxury with the Dynamic Support Package still use the under-dash CC/MTS module or is the switch wired directly to the Skid ECU? I'm just trying to understand why such a change would be made near the end of the vehicle production run."

So for 2020, adding CC/MTS would be much more difficult than, especially if you try with OEM look as many have done for the prior model years GX.
