Thanks klinquist, so the idea is install everything and go to a place where straight driving is possible and do the zero calibration and drive straight.
that's how I did it. installed in my garage. drove up to the top of the hill on my main road. parked in the shoulder. calibrated and drove off
I see most references to the use of the 60070 combo switch for 4 switch replacement with gx460’s with ride control. Now I’m seeing a new number 60080 for gx460’s without precrash. There is no discussion about this difference, so will the 60070 work with both, just not be affected by precrash software or is the 60080 vital to units without precrash?
If someone has a 2020+ Luxury model you can help the effort to bring Crawl/MTS to non-equipped 20+ models by posting some pictures of the wiring connected to your skid control ECU. At this time it would seem wiring is missing from a Base/Premium. We do not know if Luxury lacks the wiring.
••It would be great to see wiring of a Luxury with Off-Road-Package as well.
2020 Base/Premium models seem to lack some of the wiring.
I've looked into this potential "090" type crawl switch for 20+ and I suspect this might be a custom switch that was created for Al-Futtaim motors in UAE. I've seen in the past where they have sent out LCs/LX 570s for custom work.
This specific version isn't sold at any other Lexus dealers in the area.
They have a pricing/spec sheet here but this appears to be somewhat of a custom creation. Example shows model lacking RAHC/AVS and close up shots appear show 3rd party aftermarket gear including some yellow coils.
Again lots of speculation hear but that top part of switch is of a different design that any other two switch before it.
This solid design on top is odd considering a standard '20+ DAC switch looks like this. Thinking 3D printed.
I reached out to Partsouq with this info but unless I can come up with a VIN from these example vehicles they can't help me confirm or deny these are custom switches.
I recently installed MTS and CC on my 2013 lexus GX 460. Unfortunately, I met with an accidents and wrecked my car. I was able to swap out the custom parts and mods I did to my vehicle witb originals. So was able to retain 20inch wheels and tires WeatherTech floor liners and MTS and CC modules. Please check out club lexus market place, i have listed the parts for sale
It is that ECU that is attached the brake master cylinder. It is often referred to as the skid control ECU as well. I'm not sure how easy that connector is to remove.
Ok.. I didn't spend much time, since I'm still technically "working", so I didn't unplugged it because I didn't want to unplug the battery (not sure if it's needed). Hopefully, this helps. If it doesn't, then I could spend a bit more time removing it and unplugging the battery.
I know some of the pics are a bit blurry but hopefully, the video and pics get us what we're looking for.
