If the wiring exist on non-OR luxury, the next thing is to try to see if it just works with having the OR switches, right? Would it need a firmware upgrade?

I don't mind trying it but I guess I need to buy the OR switch

If we are lucky just a switch swap and a ZPC but still in speculation stage. Nothing is certain at this point but strongly encouraging with the wiring present.

I know someone bought the 2020 switches with OR but I can't seem to find it. Not sure if it's here or IH8. If it's only a few hundred dollars, I might jump the gun.

I would also need to know how to do ZPC for '20. Hopefully, it's easy. lol

For 20+ GX, the CC switch also provides the MT selection, similar on LX, providing the wiring is existing on Luxury model, it is likely swap switch and ZPC may enable the CC function. However, since it is also control MT, it will be the good idea to check the driver assist switch ECU if it is the one that will provide the MT function, just in case for unexpected error if only switch was swapped without compatible ECU since the wiring to the switch would be different from prior 20 GX given the combination functions. Just a thought.

eNx: The PN for the '20+ off-road crawl switch is ---> 84970-60450

hzhao: Yeah.. not sure at this point if they just embedded logic into skid control ECU since the Driver Assist switch ECU is now gone with 2020+.

https://www.oemvehicleparts.com/oem-...ion-8497060450

OEM vehicle parts is often referenced on the forums (I personally bought my MTS module from them). They are slow to ship, but usually have some of the best prices around. There is a coupon code for reduced shipping as well.

There are also a few eBay listings from the middle east at an even lower cost.

Now all we need is a Luxury owner with OR package to get together with a Luxury owner w/o OR package and do a quick center console switch.

Has anyone sorted if the 20-21 non-Lux vehicles can be modded to add these functions? I tried searching and everything on 20-21 MY seems to be aligned with the Lux edition only. TIA

eNx in previous few posts has a switch on order so that will help confirm if the logic is here to retrofit a Luxury. If confirmed base/premium owners will need to do some custom wiring to skid control ECU off master cylinder. Nothing will be for certain though until owners of all trim levels confirm with some experimentation.

Cool, happy to explore the situation on the Premium '21 MY when sorted on Lux.

Newb here, but just thinking through this a bit...what do these items give me that I might not be able to do with the current setup + ARB lockers f/r? Isn't the MTS basically using ABS to fake out the open system to allow for traction and the CC basically is an 'auto-pilot' for the acceleration in the muck, right? Seems I'd be in pretty good shape with lockers vs the MTS/CC add-ons (if even possible in the '21 MY GX), no?

If you have F/R ARB you have a tremendous level of traction. There are cases though where you wouldn't want to fully bind up the powertrain and actually need to be able to steer.

I've never owned an off-road truck/SUV with F & R locked but have driven plenty of 4x4 quads that are locked up and steering isn't fun when not needed.

How well can you maneuver your GX when F/R diffs are locked?

If this can be made to work on '20+ just another blade on the swiss army knife of your vehicle's capabilities. Will it get you out of something your lockers can't? Probably not ...but I can't say it won't either.

What typical terrain do you plan to drive your GX in?
