Default Loud fan roaring on 2015 gx460

Hello Guys, just purchased a pre owned 2015 gx460 with 27500 miles about a week ago.
Today I realizing there is a loud fan roaring for couple seconds( looks like from 0 - 20MPH) everytime when I press the accelerator.
Wondering if this is normal fan noise for gx460, thanks for any advice.

It is normal... that's the way the Lexus viscous fan works.

Maybe we're talking about different sounds, but my fan only "roars" when accelerating if the car was recently started. It's loud enough that it scared a neighbor walking through the garage one day and makes it seem like I'm accelerating harder than I really am. By the time I get out of my parking garage the loud roar subsides and no longer occurs for the rest of the drive.

That is a good point. I don't typically hear any noticeable noise from my fan once vehicle is up to temp.

I heard fan roaring every time when accelerating from 0-20MPH, then gone...
Also, for a couple times, there is bit of plastic burning smell coming from top right corner of engine compartment right after i parked the car. Any idea?

Take a look through through the fender area right above the front driver tire. Do you see any obvious oil stains or residue of any kind? If you have a leaking valve cover gasket it could leak down onto the exhaust and smell may come up in that area. Maybe take a picture as well.

Always a chance you picked up a shopping bag that is melting off of exhaust or precat as well.

There was a squeaking sound from the hood a week ago, and the dealer told me that belt is fine, but pulley needs to be replace, and next day when I got there, he said it was just the edge problem? But squeaking sound gone.... wondering if this has anything to do with the smell?

If you are comfortable with do this...that cover over the master cylinder comes off pretty easy... engine cover is easy as well. Engine cover has only one grommet on the front toward the driver. You might also want to do a quick visual with a flashlight from the ground level and just shine around to see if you see any fluid anywhere.

I did see some yellowish clear oil on the white tray underneath the battery when I first picked up the car. Sales said that the car has just been fully washed and detailed and also underhood
