Seems GX 460 sells most units in December of each year, and August each year usually ranks No 2 in sales.
Therefore probably the December price is usually better than the August price?

August is the first push to get rid of remaining current model inventory for the new model year arrival same month. December is the last push to get rid of previous year inventory before going into the new calendar year.

They sure seem like they are not very interested in selling the thing in the East coast. The lease deal is terrible.

Looks like August 2018 GX sales are down a bit compared to August 2017.

8/2018 - 2,773
8/2017 - 3,336

Well when they decide to screw the west coast buyers with terrible lease deals....Lexusofbrookly.com still have 68 2018 GX models in its inventory as of this morning.

Within the next month or two GX 460 sales in US will exceed total GX 470 sales.

As of October sales.... 460 is at 172,502 units versus the 470 which sold a total 174,473 units.

You`d expect higher numbers with the amount of GX rebates they pushed, but either the GX volume was reduced or the GX isnt really pushing the needle for folks. 150 left nationwide so I`d say 17s got the 18s beat

the 2 GX had a really rough start. the damning consumer report in 2010, plus idk how many of you guys know about this, but the tsunami really messed things up for the GX as alot of parts for it were made in a factory very close to where that happened so production numbers were low and it took awhile for the GX to really ramp up again. 2GX was also launched in the middle of the recession which didn't really help either. hell when i started working here at Lexus 6 years ago i started out as a salesman and even at that time the GX barley trickled in to the dealership, and i work at a pretty big one. i remember at some points for a little while, we would only have like 2 on the lot at a time.

these days the GX may not be a huge seller nationally, but its still pretty popular here locally. pretty much everyone loves it, plus its one of the few last true body-on-frame SUVs left in the modern world with a naturally aspirated V8, truly a dying breed sadly.

dont even get me started about the GX death rattle stories. the GX has been in its supposed last year since 2015.. lol

The 4Runner sales very well, I don’t see why Toyota wouldn’t launch a 3rd Generation GX when the new 4Runner comes around in 24 months.

1) inbound tariffs
2) Sales arent too hot y2y, especially since they sold 3 less units, with alot more trunk money

Reports (nothing official) state a mild facelift like the LX in the future, but I have been hoping for that since 2016....
