another option is blue bat overlays. There is another thread regarding that. So you would purchase a red overlay to get the 2010-2013 look. Then if you want the 2018 sport design look, buy another light smoked layer. You would basically put 2 layers of vinyl overlays to get the sport design look for about $70 vs. buying completely new tail lamps. My overlays are arriving later this week from blue bat.

Mine are painted. Are you going to buy a set of overlays or OEM taillights?

Mine are painted, but overlays are installed similar to window tint, except its to the outside of the tail light.

Does anyone have a side by side of the 2010-2013 tail lights vs the 2017 Sport package lights?

Are there any differences?

dumb dumb dumb design and way behind the times. Celis light rods in tail lights will be on next generation and perhaps progressive turn signals.

im sure the isn’t a difference besides the darker color of the sport package ones. However, what about the RCTA sensor? Aren’t those in the taillight as well?

Doesn't that leverage BSM? If so looks like sensor is below it.

See post #15 in this thread. I had a shop do it for around $75 (I think). I don't think they look all that great for long term.

Here is another thread of mine where you can see the tail lights looking not as "red" as i would like.

+1 on liking the red taillights over the clear ones.

If anyone is willing to trade their red ones for clear ones PM me.

totally agree with you. I know that we’re all free to do whatever with our cars but on a rig like this tails are for blinking not blinging.
