Default Lighted door sils

I have ordered the lighted door sils from Sewell and I'm wondering if anybody has installed them? They say easy installation so I'm hoping the GX is pre-wired for them so it would be plug and play.

I have them, but they came standard on the premium model. I would bet it's pre-wired....

They are definitely Plug and Play. I purchased from Sewell and installed them on my RX 350.

They appear to be but from what I could see they are sealed.

Default Install Couldn't have been easier

The sills just pull straight up, put your fingers under the carpet side and pull, pops right out, the OEM wire is actually clipped to the bottom of the non-lighted sill, unclip the wire are remove old sill. New sill, plug in wire and snap the sill back in to place. It couldn't have taken me more than 2 minutes from start to finish. It took me longer to unwrap them from the OEM packaging. The only complaint I have is that on Sewell Lexus's site the picture has them lighted up in blue, they are a white light. Oh well, I still like them.

Word of caution, if the wife has heels the plastic lens wont take too much weight before you crack them or place stars in the plastic. The metal will also suffer too with dents.

Lightbulb 2014 Lexus GX Premium illuminated door sills

I purchased illuminated door sills to install in my 2014 Lexus GX Premium. I purchased the sills for a 2013 GX model and proceeded with the installation. I had done it before on my 2010 RX450h and the installation couldn't have been simpler. Plug and play

Problem with the 2014 GX Premium is that I did not find any free connector when I removed the original doors sills. I just spent over $500 on these and am not sure what to do now. Any idea?

Return them or wire them yourself. $500.00?? Did you order from Sewell? Mine were a lot cheaper than that.

I contacted Sewell Lexus and this is what they said:

To the contrary, the pigtail will be located towards the rear for each door scuff plate. Should however, you have a vehicle by happenstance not equipped with the specific wiring we are familiar then simply connect the two wires from the illuminated door sill to the interior light source. By connecting the sill to the interior light source, the sill plates will illuminate as your other interior lights.
