I had the front windows open, sunroof open during the test drive, no wind noise, no exhaust smell inside either so long as the sunroof or front windows are open... airflow was great, freeflowing. If everything is closed with this installed theres a but of a buffeting as you might imagine as well as some exhaust smell creeps in. I'm happy though cause I'll only ever use it with the sunroof or windows down if moving.

Curious... If there was a full extension stabilizer how well would it work at higher speeds and wind resistance on the rear glass. The stabilizer would need to be more solid than this though. The only time I have bypassed the latch with fully opened was carrying wood at low speeds and I used a locking plier on one of the struts to prevent movement.
Perhaps not desired but just wondering![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

You sold me... I ordered one the same size as yours. I forgot I had ordered my replacement fender liners from same company. It probably won't get use until spring

My rear hatch handle has been getting progressively more sticky on my 2012 GX460 and the handle stays in the open position until I manually push it in the other direction. I thought it was a one-off but I was at Discount Tire yesterday and told the tech about it so that he knew how to shut it and and he said he has seen more than one GX with that problem and he had heard that it was possibly a corrosion issue in the mechanism. I have tried lubricating the accessible points with zero difference. I am now concerned that something might seize open, or break, which would be a major headache and I was wondering if anybody had any experience with this, and/or suggestions. Thanks!.

Yes, it’s a common problem. The pin that the handle pivots on gets rusty. You have to take the trim off the inside to get to it. Once you are there it’s easy to either lubricate (probably won’t work though) or replace.

Happened to me as well. Went ahead and ordered a new one and replaced. It was an easy job. I also replaced my front two door lock actuators since one of those went bad as well.

Mine did stick one time but was able to fix it with lubrication of the mechanism from the inside. Rear door panel needs to be removed.

Had same issue on my 2012 in March 2021(w/ whole family while on vacation of course) and used the “lubrication from outside only” method. Nothing disassembled. Hasn’t reoccurred since then so fingers crossed. Probably should do this annually…
