I see a lot of reference to CPO on forums, but Lexus uses term L Certified......are they the same?

I understand L Certified consists or two things......extended full warranty to 6 yrs from date of sale with unlimited mileage, and free scheduled maintenance for earlier of 24 months or 20k miles.
So this would be more than just oil changes, if air filter was part of scheduled maintenance at 60k, it would be free. At least that is my understanding.

I also saw in a forum that it also provides any items such as tool kit, first aid kit etc which were part of the original package are included. So they "certify" that your tool kit is complete.

As long as it is from a Lexus dealer, the terms should be the same. Make sure you get it in writing and verify what they cover. We looked at an L Certified 2012 GX and it was clean, but it wasn't perfect and certainly wasn't worth the price. Honestly figure that you probably won't need the warranty at all and the maintenance is going to be cheap on their end.

Make sure you go over the car top to bottom and use any imperfections against them during negotiation.
