Hey guys, I just did a prototype air intake kit for my 2017 GX460 and need opinions. It does give it more engine sound and better throttle response but haven't look at any increase in MPG yet.
This is a 3.5" piping setup and feel free to comment. Thanks

Nice job. I put the same thing on my old 1994 Acura Legend coupe V6. It actually annoyed me with the acceleratin sound so I gave it away.

You actually may loose performance with that configuration due to heat soak. If you built a box around it and pulled intake air from the fender or front grill it would be a nice cold air intake (CAI). I have the RR Racing CAI and tuned intake on my IS-F and got nice gains and sound.

 

I did the same thing; just moved it from my 2014 4Runner into my 2016 GX 460. Noticeable improvement and remains quiet.

 

The stock intake is a CAI. However, this in it's current config is not.
