It does look nice. Overkill for my needs but I am sure they will sell a lot of them. That company makes some fine products.

One would definitely want to brace that one to the metal frame of the door.

Does anyone in the NY, NJ, CT, PA area want to order something from Kaon and split the shipping cost?

I could deliver it to you or meet half way depending on the location.

I was out on a trip photographing Fall colors and the table came in handy. I used it several times and it was stable and sturdy.

I ordered the Kaon table in September along with a local GX470 owner. Shipping was fast from Australia via UPS. About 5 business days from shipping to my warehouse in the Northeast. I was finally able to install it this past weekend. Very well made! I was surprised to see what looked like a laser engraved serial number or model number on the side edge of the table. They still send the self-taping screws along with dome shaped hex bolts and nyloc nuts for those who want to take the time to button it up from the inside.

There is a section on the instructions that says to leave the brackets about 3mm around edge near the cargo openings.... I followed that and my table didn't fit properly on the outside of the brackets. I had to move the brackets right up against the cargo door edge for it to work.

About a year ago I asked about the kaon table being installed with a canvasback door cover. @Acrad did a mock up with pics. For anyone curious, the canvasback door cover fits really nice over the kaon shelf. The shelf fills out door cover so it looks less billowy.

Customer service is great with Kaon; I think it's a family run small business. I've spoke with Linda on a few occasions and she's always been very helpful.

Just had a look at the Kaon website and this table is now selling for $360 AUD, I seem to remember it selling for $260 just recently. With shipping (to east coast), this comes out to $542 USD!
Should have bought this earlier in the year, will have to take a look at the domestic options.

When you do the quote at checkout it shows you pricing is still in AUD.

I had an extra item in my cart but that should be less than $400 USD.

$509.97 AUD = $394.03 USD

I paid $245 AUD back in early 2018.

Looks like they have a 10% off code right now - EOFY21

Sorry, I meant $542 AUD pre discount. I imagine materials costs are hitting them as well.

I saw that product on IG last night and thinking about ordering one.

Are you getting it? Curious to know quality of the cutting board. Seems like if you can replicate those black mounts/brackets it would be so much cheaper to get a generic cutting board.

Price on Kaon website is now $265 AUD plus shipping, comes out to about $308 USD shipped to east coast.

Has anyone tried Bison Gear tables?
Their table for the GX460 (also fits the 470) is priced at $176 and includes shipping!
The only thing that concerns me is it looks like there are less anchor points on the attachment brackets to the rear door plastic. The Kaon table looks to have a sturdier mount with more attachment anchors.

I just pulled the trigger on a Kaon table as the price dropped back down to $240. That plus the fact that the aussie dollar is sinking against the greenback made for a more agreeable total of $275USD inc. shipping to the east coast. Note that this includes a 5% discount for 1st time shoppers, if you sign up for their newsletter. Looking forward to add this mod to my ride!

Just finished installing the table and as others have noted, it is solid and well made. Also, amazing shipping service, 7 days from ordering to arrival on east coast!
something to note, it does site more proud than I expected, about 1 and half to 2 inches from back of door, see pic below. I thought the rear door surface was flat but it’s slightly concave.

Taken from above with rear glass window open and barn door closed
This may affect your storage if you regularly pack to the gills.

I applied some 1/4" self adhesive foam sheets to the bottom of the table because I got tired of hearing items I placed in the cargo area tap the stainless steel ... personal preference but if this happens to you, it's an option
