Appreciate feedback and citing of regs.
So we are essentially talking about potential OEM distance violating reg even though likelihood of an issue at distance is almost a statistical anomaly when all planets line up and factory fail safe fails :-)

my remote does not work past 20 ft. basically theres no reason for me to open the windows as i approach the car because theyre still rolling down when i get to it. seems that mine complies with the very low power and wouldnt be an issue with the rolling up.
I remember my aftermarket alarm with the feedback display on the remote would work from over a hundred yards, the system even had this pretty big dipole.
how far do others GX remotes work? i think i did try a new battery but cant remember now.

Noticed something odd this morning. I was looking for my wallet and realized via my Tile I had left it in GX at my cabin. I approached the "locked" vehicle with my FOB and SmartKey didn't work pulling on the driver door handle. I had to use the remote unlock on FOB to unlock door. Realize... I have the Smart Card Key in my wallet as well so vehicle allowed me to remotely lock the vehicle last night with the Smart Card Key in my wallet which was situated in the driver's door storage area. Further testing needed to see if generally possible or if the Auto Fold module plays into the mix for this to occur.
I had a tense moment today and trying to see what caused the scenario.
I was at gas station with keys, wallet and phone inside car in the center cupholders. As I am done filling my GX I notice the mirrors folding in and the car auto locked itself.
After a friendly gal let me make a call to my wife...I started looking around the parking lot and found the perfect stick. I had left the sunroof in the tilt state and literally the most perfect stick.. almost like fate was there. However my attempts at hitting the power door lock buttons kept coming up short. Almost was able to pick my keys up and they fell but FOB fell perfectly flat I was able to trigger the unlock button with the stick through the tilted sunroof. I'm having a few beers tonight...that was just luck with the stick.
I noticed about week back or so I had overridden the auto folding mirrors one time and then after that I would notice them folded in garage and car would either be locked or this last time this morning it was locked. I had thought I had mistakenly locked it.
When I got home and went to get my mail I noticed the car auto folded the mirrors again and didn't lock and just about at the internal accessory power cutoff point is what I am thinking caused it to trigger. I pulled the OBD module and plugged it back in and normal state seems to occur.
Lesson to me anyway... if you notice odd folding mirror behavior unplug/replug the mirror folding module and also keep my keys on me at all times. I'll report back if symptoms occur again.

I just installed the WINSGO Car OBD Window Closer Open+ Side Mirror Fold Spread LHD Left Hand Drive For Lexus GX 2011+ and it works perfectly.
All I wanted was Auto folding mirrors and they fold when you lock it and unfold when you open. it took about 4 weeks to arrive from China, but other than that
I am 100% satisfied.

I have a 2016 Lexus RX 350. When I park it in the garage I want the power mirrors to close, not when the vehicle is locked, but when the ignition is turned off. There does not appear to be any setting which can be adjusted by the owner. Does anyone know if this change is possible?
Anything ever show up on this for anyone?

a monostable multivibrator could be added which would close the mirror when the IGN is turned off
i wonder who is going to google monostable multivibrator? clue: its AKA a one shot

There are quite of discussion on the topic. Most of us have done that by add the ODB module. The windows function can be enabled via Techstream.
