I recently just responded to a Lexus Quality Survey on my GX. That got me thinking about what's everyone preference on features that should have come standard or at least as an option on the GX. Here is my list,

1- Rear window pull up sunscreen. I think GX is the only luxury SUV that does not have it. All other luxury SUV have pull up sunscreen. My 20 months old daughter would really appreciate that.
2- Heads up display.
3- Auto brake hold . Even my mom's NX200t come standard with auto brake hold! It's a useful feature for those of us stuck in stop n go traffic everyday
4- Better seat design for 2nd row. The bench style seating is really flat, needs more contours and bolstering to make it comfortable
5- More options to 1st row seats. Need more adjustments!!! every german SUV come with at least 12 ways or more of adjustabilities. My previous x5 has 20 ways adjustments! the GX offers a laughable substandard 6 ways.

Other than those 5 things listed above. I love my GX.

What's your opinion?

1) Bump the turn signal and get a three second activation. I was surprised my 2012 didn't have this.
2) Better quality back up camera. Image quality is terrible.
3) More 12V outlets.
4) Bigger gas tank.

Romanova, your #2, 3 and 4 are my gripes as well. I added 2 more 12V outlets in the 2nd row. Those outlets should have been standard from lexus!

* Revamped nose for approach angle that is commensurate with the other off-road features of the GX
* Air-conditioned front seats, not just ventilated
* Heat the whole steering wheel
* A gauge cluster that does not remind you of an Atari 2600

One would think #3 would be due to platform age, but the 16+ LX does not have auto hold. Dont know if its something due with mechanicals

Mentioned many times on this forum, the love it or hate it with the swing gate. I was searching for a part a few days ago in a pouring rain and got soaked. I do work out of my GX so I am more sensitive with this. I still would want a power lift gate if not working out of the GX.

Agree with Apple/Andriod Auto but don't think Lexus/Toyota will go for it.
TPMS should display pressure for all tires including spare
Deeper cupholders
Driver support package not special order these features are becoming standard on a lot of cars

looks like you need to carry an umbrella all the time if you plan to work out of the GX. :lol:

My requests seem simple:

• Use the keyfob location (proximity) to unlock the rear swing door by just grabbing the handle (without have to PRESS the unlock button - I always forget which one it is)
• Add the ability to lock/unlock the doors from either REAR exterior door handle (just like the front door handles)
• I'd like to be able to see the actual tire pressure (just like in my 2015 GX and almost every OTHER vechile I have owned)
• Better graphics on the NAV (it looks cartoonish compared to other brands)

These are a little petty:

• Why does the parking sensor indicator need to be illuminated in the guage cluster while I'm driving over 20 MPH?
• Why is there no indicator for what MPG the cruise control is set for (all my previous vechiles had it)?
• Make the mirrors fold when the car is locked (it's a great visual confirmation) STANDARD - and yes I'm doing the group buy to get my module, lol

I know I`ll be the first to complain about how price increases across the board....BUT

LSS + standard (surround camera, BLIS, LKA auto brake, etc)
Auto hold and ebrake
drive control modes (new prado 18 has)
8 speed
upgraded seats
Digital cluster (only the MID is digital on the prado)
touchscreen navigation with modern UI (PLEASE NO REMOTE TOUCH)
Welcome lighting (prado)
LEDs all around inside and outside (still halogen on prado)
Ambient lighting (prado)
Terrain Control (prado)
USB ports and more AC ports

agree with everything on your list. I'd like to add 1 more thing, the incandescent interior lighting is a constant reminder that this is an aging truck. GX has really good bones, just need to have some cosmetic updates to make it a better driving experience for all of us.
