I would appreciate suggestions on how to repair the damage. I originally thought it was a stain but it appears the leather dye has wore off. Just not sure what to do about it. Thank you.

I believe the leather dye has been worn away from a car seat but I am not certain. Can anyone tell from the picture or has ever seen this happen? If so, how do I repair it?
I have purchased leather dye for my LS430 driver seat from this company.

You can enter your Lexus interior color code. The color match is perfect even when you do spot repairs.

It would be an easy fix for your seat since the perforated leather is not torn.

Looks like the seat has been dyed before, the faded portion is the original color.

Default Ecru Leather Clean

I had some new seat covers and when I folded down the rear seat it seems some ink transferred.

How do I remove the ink? Or will a detailer be able to? can the dealer?

Better yet is there a part number for a new rear center armrest and headrest ?

It is the ecru aniline from luxury.

Thanks

Ouch! That's pretty bad....

Try this thread for some ideas: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gx-...-interior.html

Do the cheap fixes first before you start buying new parts.

Good Luck!

I have used a Mr Clean Magic Eraser to remove ball point pen marks from a tan leather seat bottom before.

Slightly dampen one and rub lightly at first. You will be able to tell very quickly if it is going to help or not.

I would try that 25 cent option before doing anything more drastic.

Try woolite diluted 1:10 with water and a soft cloth. Do not rub it too hard as it will strip the clear coat that is sprayed on the seat at the factory.

I find the Chemical Guys leather cleaner and detailer products do a good job of cleaning up my interior. Same kind as yours, semi-aniline ecru leather. I'd suggest giving that a try before buying an entirely new part. Those things aren't cheap and the Chemical Guys stuff is pretty good at doing its job. It's fairly easy to get, too. Pretty popular brand. I got my stuff from Walmart during one of my US visits, and that was only because it's more expensive and harder to find in Kuwait.

Ouch, it looks like seat cover made it worse. As an option, try a leather repair shop and see how much they would charge to get this back to brand a new condition, I've had to fix my seats and it cost about $500 for both front seats, i'm sure it will cost less for yours.

Default Leather

Looking for seat cover/re-upholstery ideas... Need 2011 Ecru lower covers/leather... I see some on eBay--anyone ever installed? Wonder how bad new bottoms will look against old uppers... are there any affordable aftermarket alternatives?
