Came across these too. They are heavier but I tend to prefer ARB and TJM since they are airbag compatible and built for frontal collisions while most domestic offerings so far only seem built for clearance and adding accessories. Sourcing an Australian bar still sounds like a long and expensive process though.

SSO posted this on their instagram not long ago too. They keep hinting they are going to be coming out with something soon for the 460's but theyve been saying that since October.

The C4 might more closely address my weight concerns since it is listed at 95 lbs

I know not everyone like this one but it is growing on me more and keeps around some of the original face of my vehicle. Ok. I like the wooly mammoth or water buffalo look as some have called it. :-)

I'm wondering if I should just go black powder-coat or try to make it color matched with some brown powder coat. The utility side of me says just make it black.

I’m a big fan of it. I’d powdercoat it black.

Thanks! That helps!!! :-) I think the biggest piece of this one that gives me concern is making sure I do a proper cutting wheel cut of the existing bumper. I may not be able to reuse my Morimoto fogs and will obtain what C4 has for sale.

I guess easier to cut now...being that it is damaged. Damage area is actually quite a bit lower on the bumper so I would effectively be trimming away the damaged area.

EDIT: Kinda ironic...I think the stock bumper looks better with the area at bottom cut out of my stock one. I was able to Gorilla glue the bumper piece together. One really has to stand close to see damage now.

What would be your tool of choice for cutting the stock bumper for the C4 assuming your were using the right blade or wheel for cutting plastic? I want to see if I can find some kind trim piece that would overlay over the cut plastic to give it a more finished look.

I think you’ll get the best result from an angle grinder with a cutting wheel on it. You can get some door trim to cover up the cut edges.

A guy over at GXOR did a quick photoshop for me in my Fire Agate Pearl with black bumper. Might consider the Evo Grey another guy has. When I start looking at repair costs and the possibility stock bumper gets damaged again this C4 will be cheaper.

EDIT: I mention to the wife... might need to do sliders... she says "what are those?".. after I show her "well let's see I need sidesteps"... if you damage those than yes :-) Looks like the C4 would allow easier mounting of stock underside LEDs as well. I really hadn't planned on doing any of this stuff for a few years... funny what a cracked bumper does.

I'l have to damage them quick :-) Heading down to Mt Hood in Oregon this next week.. anyone know any good areas to tear them up quick? Wife's criteria requires damage before replacement :-) :-)

LexOverlnd: Did you leave your underside lights disconnected or go with a different option? I'll rig something up no matter what I get.

They shouldn’t be too hard to damage, but be careful, you’ll want the upper portion intact to use as a trim piece.

The lights are disconnected for now.

Both of their options bolt right on with KDSS if you decide to get sliders now too. I am happy with their OPOR sliders.

Where is the Group Buy being tracked? I didn't favor the Metal tech sliders but they are slowly growing on me (i came close to buying Southern Style Offload sliders). Its hard for me to tell from the pics but are they cosmetically similar, with the exception that OPOR uses fill plates?

I hope its a roof rack for the GX460. I inquired last month and they said they were working on it. It would be a nice alternative to whats out now if Prinsu doesn't make one for the GX460.

I was looking at the stock weight of items on my '10-'13 when replacing the front bumper. Carmarka shows quick weight of parts.

• Plastic front cover / PN: 52119-6A955 (model with cutouts for headlight washers and parking sensors)
14.17 lbs

• Center support / PN: 52521-60120
2.65 lbs

• Lower cover / PN: 52129-60020
1.03 lbs

• Lower Grille inserts / PN: 53113-60050 / 53112-60100
1.36 lbs

• Absorber / PN: 52611-60080
~1 lb

• Impact bar / PN: 5202160170
24.33 lbs

Total around 44.54lbs removing stock bumper and pieces.

C4 is 95lbs so it would add about 50lbs on front. I'm not gonna add a winch or extra battery at this point.

C4 doesn't have install instructions online yet for the Assassin Hybrid but here is a similar install to a 4R.
